Let's get wild with it

Nelson-Barzal-Wahlstrom
Beau-Pageau-Palmieri
Bailey-Cizikas-Eberle
Martin-Zajac-Clutterbuck

Beau Barzal Eberle
Bailey Nelson Palmieri
Zajac Pageau Wahlstrom
Martin Cizikas Clutterbuck

I can’t see moving Cizikas off the 4th line they seem to fall off a cliff anytime one of them is missing. Nelson has been good at center. I get we’re trying to find a balance but I’m not moving him. This is what I got. Zajac has been pretty invisible but if he craps the bed there then throw in MDC and call it a day...

Centering Leo and that other guy, the kid who won the Calder.

Gotta think the first and second line gets the blender. JGP’s line and The 4th stay the same. Wally is going to get a chance to prove himself you would think. Hope he plays well if he does.

I meant that more as cooking up the weirdest semi-realistic lines that I could

Yes I'd assume the 4th line probably stays in tact no matter what.

You know the big change will be that Barzal will center Wahlstrom and Komarov

Most likely
Adding Palmieri and Zajac has created a bit of a conundrum for Trotz evidently...

They have to get Barzal going sooner than later. If we limp into the playoffs playing like dog poop we're going to be an easy out.

I'd load up on the first line. Go big with something like Palmieri-Barzal-Wahlstrom/Eberle and see how that goes. That's giving Barzal two shooters and if he can't get back to form with them then at least they can say they tried everything.

I don’t really understand Trotz’s hesitation with throwing Beau up there? They’ve had success in the past seems like a no brainer to me. If not throw Palmieri in on his off side and leave Eberle where he is. The rest of the lines have found varying levels of success with each other at times. If he thinks breaking up Eberle and Barzal is the way to go then Wahlstrom or Palmieri up there is what I would do. It’s funny because I said the the day we got Zajac and Palmieri trotz was going to take the long way to wind up putting Palmieri where we want and I bet you that still happens after bouncing him all over the line up. He’ll wind up on the first line
