I think I have looked at Cody Eakin's stats like 5 times because I can't believe he scored 20 goals in the NHL. - sabresfan69
One of the reasons why I thought he'd at least be a decent 3rd liner. Yikes, was I wrong. |

in a shocking blow to the narrative, reinhart now has the same amount of goals in the same amount of games when eichel is playing or not playing
8g in 21 games where eichel plays
8g in 21 games where eichel doesnt - robz228
So he is a 32 goal per 82 game player is what I am reading... |

Nope he is useless and needs to be traded because he's a creampuff extraordinaire - TheSabresTaco

Watching highlights of Samuelsson clearing the crease is certainly nice to see.
Thats that toughness I posted about before and have people telling me it wont stop cheap shots and fighting.
People should stop confusing the three. |

They have been in every single game he has coached except what? 2 games?
There is still work that needs to be done but I don't see how you can't look at what is being done so far, and not bring back the entire coaching staff
Bring in good goaltending
A healthy Jack
and get rid of some of the dead weight and add a piece or two and you're looking at a potential Colorado type turn around...hides
I mean they're still getting outplayed in some aspects of the game but they're being carried by two lines full of kids. |

He has won me over. I was in the Gallant club but how can he not be given at least next year. |

eakin's last shift ended at 7:38...totals: 3 shifts, 1:25 of ice time in the second period |

Fingers crossed Okposo retires. Maybe that is terrible to say but dude is one shot away from losing his marbles.
It will free up some cap space.

Its definitely strange seeing Mitts, Tage and Asplund on the ice in critical situations.
Its refreshing to see the coach have confidence in them. - sabresfan69
I think what's really interesting is that he's actually willing to put different lines out on the ice in maybe unfamiliar situations for them to see how they react individually and as a unit, to be able to study who works best and who can handle what. Extremely pliable coach, it won't stop being refreshing. |

he said in the presser yesterday he was not worried about the sabres legs, said they put them in that position early on yesterday and if improved, speed would not be an issue today
unlike ralph, he was right |

Donnie spoke about the poor conditioning of the players when he first came in. Having a training camp to set the tone will do wonders.
Even the back half of last season, they were gassed. |

Not at all. He has never played a complete season. He played 81 games in 15-16. Time to move on. |
