Don't want to see a Risto extension cause that could block Laaksonen

Reinhart with 2 great goals, where's Boss? Or is he like Gerbe and "didn't watch"?

If you keep Risto you're going to pay him a pretty big salary and you'll lose Borgen in the expansion draft. It makes too much sense to keep Borgen and move Risto and pocket the cap space.

That’s exactly where my head is. It’s the right business decision. You can get a decent return for Risto and let the kids move in. Maybe, maybe! Make a pitch for a 2LD or McCabe if his rehab goes well.

I can't imagine it would be that hard to get McCabe on a two year contract coming off of an injury in a flat-cap world.

I heard Jeremy White say $6m for McCabe. No way he costs that much. Coming off injury, I think it's in the 4-4.5m ballpark and I'm paying

No thanks. We are doing fine without him.

If we want a veteran presence get some new blood. Need the stench of losing to be washed from this team

As of this moment I think in an ideal world both Bryson/Samuelsson would be bottom pairing LHD.

Both may have second pairing upside but it’s better to have a bonafide NHL d-man in that spot and forced out due to the competition then to be short handed.

Mike Reilly could make sense as Pach mentioned. Jon Merrill comes to mind as well.

The metrics on McCabe's defensive game all point to him being a top-level defensive player. The injury stuff sucks and you're pretty much guaranteed to only get 60-65 games, but in terms of stench, he isn't all that stinky

should be able to keep him for little more than the $2.850m he's making right now

I was just reading PHam's summary of the game - I did not realize that Eakin was put on the bench for most of the second period and then again late in the third. With Irwin not playing today he is the lone (and very noticeable) bad spot in this lineup. He has to be the one coming out with Caggiula now ready. He shouldn't see the ice again for this team (the last of the Ralph stank).

Finish this forward lineup...

Skins - Eichel - ______
______ - Cozens - Ruotso
Asplund - Mitts - Tallness
Bjork - Girgs - Okposo

Is Rhino here? Olofsson?

- Powerslave

Injuries will happen
Not a bad thing to have “too many” RHD
As long as they play well of course

If they're keeping Risto (I wouldnt) then they really should keep McCabe because he kept the angry finn's head above water

angry finn's been doing alright as of late...donnie meatballs was effusive in his praise for him as well and if he's in consideration for benchboss, methinks he might have something to say about how risto might fit in (or if he fits in)

Sabres will have plenty of RD coming up through the system. Still have Kukkonen and Lyckasen coming.

Every coach loves risto. He wolfs down minutes like Joey chestnut at a hotdog eating competition. Never gets tired or hurt

with the way he's been playing as of late, a team like anaheim or the kings might be interested in that facet of his game as well as his size and anger issues (real or feigned)...maybe?
