Hart's blocker save on Rodrigues in the 3rd was pretty damn impressive. Pens are only 3 points back of 1st, 1 game in hand, and 2 games left against the Caps. They are fine.
Watching Lafferty Jank and Scevior last night was pitiful though. Not sure how they are drawing in over Zohorna. Hopefully last night was the last time. |

For a Capitals fan to bring this up is strange... however... Peter Taglianetti's son?
He did have twin boys who played football at Pitt.

Wasn't Zohan playing C in the AHL? If so I'd leave Laff in and yank Jank outta there. |

Yeah he was centre and the wbs points leader while doing it. |

The Crosby goal was so sad, the Philly defenders looked like two puppies that chased hard, saw one another and got distracted...

He was, but he's also comfortable at LW and Lafferty and Sceviour really aren't.
Roster construction means having 3 bench guys who all really should only play RW in Sceviour, Lafferty, and Angelo.
So long as Zohorna is in, I don't care much which of those guys come out. |

Yea, but honestly for right now I wouldn't mind seeing a 4th line of:

I thought Jank was exceptionally bad last night. Laffarty isn't a regular NHL player, but Jank doesn't really have one quality that should keep him in the lineup. Laffarty occasionally can be disruptive with his speed. I guess Sullivan doesn't trust any of these other guys who also "dabble" in playing center. |

His one quality is being (inexplicably, even at the time) a former first round pick. If his name wasn't recognizable for that reason he would have been out of the NHL years ago |

Ha! I didn't even know he was a first round pick. I honestly don't even know how he scored the points he did when he came into the league. |

Sullivan should move Rodrigues up instead of forcing Zucker to struggle. Whatever Sully's long game is, Zucker playing his off wing is never going to be an option. We all see it, we know that's what he wants, get it over with and just do it. |

I mean there's also the simple task of putting Carter at RW, Zucker at LW and McCann at C. Carter isn't gonna forget how to play center over the next whatever games until Geno is back haha. |

the Biggest difference between right and left side is breaking the puck out. It baffles me that nhl players can’t do it from both sides. |

Yea, some can and some can't, it's weird. As a lefty I always liked to play C or RW I barely played LW. |

The only logical conclusion we can draw from a McCann-Carter-Zucker is Sullivan wants Carter at center when Malkin returns.
Guentzel-Crosby-Rust
Zucker-Malkin-Kapanen
McCann-Carter-Rodrigues
ZAR-Blueger-Tanev
He should just put them together now. It already cost us one game.

This will unfortunately be the lineup if everyone can be healthy. Hopefully it was just the combined funk that zucker and geno were both in. This is the sully we know that will hold back the team in the playoffs. |

Looking at the remaining schedules I think it's highly likely we play Boston in the first round. I think the Isles will slide to 4th with the Pens and Bruins fighting for 2nd. |

That's what I'm thinking, McCann played well with Geno and Map. But I can also see Sullivan being like "Were balancing the scoring out". Now I'm ok with giving Zuck one more shot there during the regular season with Geno but Idk, I'm not seeing it work out. |
