Congrats to Backs, What a career and he's not done yet.

But it felt a bit weird to see the Caps lose to Buffalo on a night this special. You'd think they would be hyped for it and pull out all the stops.... especially since they have scored so well the last two games.

I was especially disappointed with OVI. He hasn't had his game on the last few games, even when he scored, his celebrations aren't as exciting as normal.

I was hoping he would be back to normal this game but he just wasn't.
I think he need to go on a big scoring streak heading into the playoffs to get the team hyped for a cup run.

Man, you have been on Ovi lately! lol. He leads the league in shots for April so he is getting his looks. I think he has had some tough bounces the last week or so. For example, he had a wide open net against philly that he got a good shot on but the Philly defenders stick just happened to graze the puck enough to deflect it away from the net. I hear ya though, not enough high danger chances. Strange seeing the Caps light up the scoreboard for 14 goals in two games and only see Ovechkin's name once on the goal sheet.

That's fair, I think I'm hard on him for two reasons.
#1. He's my favorite player and I know how he should be scoring
#2. this team lives and dies with OVI. If he's scoring, typically the Caps are winning.

Yes he's getting his chances but the last few games he hasn't had that same OVI jump he normally does. Like I said in my previous posts. you can see it when he scores, his celebrations aren't near as exciting as normal.

it could be possible that he's figured out that he's not going to catch Mathews this year for the Rocket, or maybe he's trying to save it for the playoffs. but He needs to get going.
