Karine Hains: Is There a Pulse? Last night, the Canadiens were obliterated by the Winnipeg Jets who, for the first time in their history (both incarnations) managed to blank the Habs in Montreal with a 5-0 win.

I'd reunite Petry & Eddie for sure but I'd pair up Weber with Romanov instead of Kulak

"That would work if we take less PP than other team, teams will also learn to double team him more and block the passing lane but I am eager to see what will happen"

Habs8888,

That's the whole point, if teams start focusing on him while shorthanded, they open up huge gaps for others to expose

I will be interested to see how this translate to real results, call him up and will see how the 1st 10 games go

It would go alot better than without him in the lineup

Tatar Danault Gallagher
Toffoli Kotkaniemi Caufield
Staal Suzuki Anderson
Drouin Evans Perry

Lehkonen, Armia, Byron, Frolik all without a chair, Habs don't need a F... and I don't care Drouin is not a 4th line player, scratch him and dress Lehkonen or Byron if you'd like.

I realize it was a different coach but, how do they justify scratching Tatar earlier this season but Drouin plays a regular shift 5vs5 and on the PP? Getting real sick of that guy...

All this started when Ducharme broke the Edmundson/Petry duo because Weber was having trouble, well now everyone is having trouble.

At this point I’d put Weber on third pairing and play Romanov abit more.

Bring back all the old lines

Tatar-Danault-(Gallagher) Byron
Drouin-Suzuki-Anderson
Toffoli-KK-Armia
Lehkonen-Staal-Perry

Edmundson-Petry
Kulak(Charriot)-Weber
Leskinen-Romanov

Bring in a good D to play with Romanov

I still think even with Caufield it’s a dog fight for the playoffs especially with 5 games against the Flames

Kulak with Petry was absolutely brutal...Kulak is brutal...he is so unreliable...Ducharme has lost the plot..and I like him..but this isn't working.....benching Mete was reactionary....he's a better option with Romanov on the 3rd pairing...Kulak needs to go...as does Drouin....and even maybe Lehkonen (who I love but cant score with an open net). Time for Poeling to come up...and maybe even Caufield in a limited roll on the PP.

I disagree... Calgary is a bit of a mess, Habs are already in a pretty good spot

Flames can heat up anytime and based on how good Markstromm has played against us it’s not a lock, I hope I am wrong

poehling should get the call before Caufield

maybe Fleury or one of the d in Laval as well (not sure what kind of season Brook is having)

drouin is here to stay for a while

2-10 in their last 12 games, I won't hold my breath waiting for them to heat up

Poehling will not be coming up before Caufield and that's not a knock on Poehling at all

And I don't understand why Fleury isn't up already

And finally, I think this may be Drouin's last year as a Hab

not really, I'm not waterboy

I don't think that what we would like to get is on the market right now (PMD)

But maybe a two way defenseman who is not a pure stay at home could come in

Maybe Ryan Murray (I don't know)

yeah sure for Drouin, most likely, but he won't be traded on monday, can't see it

look at that line up, they kind of need him

by the way, can this team afford to lose Tatar this summer?

3rd overall pick pedigree and now previous link with Ducharme... but yeah, everyone's patience is wearing thin...I wonder if the Canes might bite on him somehow...If it's true that they want to trade Haydn Fleury as Lebrun reported, it's worth a shot I think...
