Dustin Brown in Play for "Right Fit." The Isles considered Brown and now I am hearing Boston, Toronto, and Edmonton....

Retain 50% and get a 2nd? No clue, either. I do think he'd be a nice, bottom 6 in the playoffs for a team like the Islanders. Seems like a Trotz guy for sure.

I don't believe this for a second.

I wouldn’t trade him. He’s too valuable and the return won’t replace that.

I think Brown would be a great add for Oilers or Leafs. A physical leader who can score and comes with oodles of playoff experience. Not sure how either team fits his cap in unless LTIR is in play (Toronto), or a big contract goes the other way (Neal in Edmonton, for example) and/or salary is retained, etc. . . . which means the picks/prospects Edmonton would need to send LA would have to be primo.

Unless he requests a trade, Brown’s not going anywhere. He manages himself, apparently and he’s made it clear he wants to retire his jersey in Los Angeles. Regardless of Blake or the pressure from some fans, Brown calls the shots. On the flip side, I’d love to see him in Boston!

I hope you are being sarcastic because he is not too valuable. The Kings are in rebuild mode and still ways off from being a playoff team. There is no point at all in still hanging on to players like Brown, Quick and Carter. Get Brown and some of his salary off and that helps the Kings even more.

If the Kings offload all three of those players they won't even make the salary floor, especially with Kovalchuk and Phaneuf's money (over $10M) coming off the books.
