Thanks Jan.
Agree with sitting Hajek in favor of Tarmo. Don't forget Blackwell's post as well. A few of those go in, we're talking about a different game.

It won’t happen but I only trade Blackwell if we’re getting a 2nd back at this point. Think he brings way too much value at his cap hit to give away for less, especially if he can be a 15-20 goal scorer on the 4th line where he would ideally fit next season.

Especially since we have him signed for cheap next season.

Not sure who scheduled the team’s vaccinations the day before a back to back, but it should cost them their job. I honestly don’t expect to see much improvement tomorrow. Many guys just plain off.
And even with that, we had our chances to win.
I thought Trouba stood out with a great game.

Time to see what we can get in return:
Brendan Smith? Tarmo would be a great call up to build his future.

Labor Hajek? Classic 3rd liner would need to be packaged.

Either Blackwell or Rooney? Can’t protect both so it makes sense to dangle Rooney for a team in a playoff push.

Alex G? Package for playoff push. Kincaid is more astute to support Igor and knows his role. AG needs time to play and this team does not have it with Igor.

DG? It’s time to cut loose.

DQ needs to shuffle and move Krieder down to third line and even the lines. It would be idyllic if the Kraken would covet either Kreider or Trouba to captain their ship.

It’s time to pivot and build the youngsters- there is no realistic playoff push.

If Zib buries the open SH attempt and Chytil buries his, were talking about a different game.

Also, for those that still aay faceoffs dont matter, you may not realize this but eventhough the Rangers have been winning games, if Im not mistaken theyve give up goals off of faceoff losses in like every game the last 2 weeks Rangers score, opponent wins faceoff, skates down ice and scores. This crap has to stop.

I absolutely want Blackwell moved by the deadline

we gotta move another body or two out of here, Lemieux was just the start

sell high on Blackwell, to a team that was interested in Palmieri and missed out

Agreed. Something was just off with almost every player. Even Panarin just looked confused and could not get the passing game going like he typically does.
I do not think it is out of the norm to think the vaccine shot played a role.

Either way. They lost and need to hopefully clear the cobwebs out of the brain for tonight.

I agree with Jan full-heartedly regarding the 4th line. I said it in another thread, if the Rangers intend to compete in the playoffs in the next year or two, then keep Rooney and Blackwell. They are needed for playoff series. I do not think it blocks Barron. There other trades to be made to make room.

As an additional thought. I wonder which vaccine they got? If they got one where you get a second shot after 3-4 weeks that could suck if they manage to squeak into the playoffs or are still in the hunt during the last games of the season (which could be around when the second dose would happen).

To avoid scheduling issues, Im gonna guess they got the J&J one.

Good point. I believe it is the Moderna vaccine that is well known to have significant side effects after the 2nd shot. That would just be a poopty situation if they set up the players for a well known issue.
Maybe Aecliptic is right and it is the J&J. We can only hope.

Seeing how effortless Kravs entry into the NHL has been really forced the issue a bit.

All comes down to what the return is, because he would be a great fourth liner. If they’re not trading him, they need to include Gauthier in their plans for a C.

Chytil is not cutting it for me as a C. So annoying to see Rooney come on for just a face off and then go back to the bench for Chytil to come on. Like that’s gonna work in the NHL...

Couldn't really watch the last two games much, but I guess Kravs is playing well and looks like he belongs?
