It's funny how often I go to a conference and people ask why I brought coffee and they have a huge Tim's cannister there. Don't have it in me to explain how bad I find Tim's coffee - Takemedrunkimhome
personally I don't necessarily hate it, I just find it's really bland. I always order the dark roast when I go there but even then the taste is still watery

Weak goals too... not blaming Allen but if you're gonna beat the team that currently sits 1st overall, you have to stop the ones that you should |

he is not to blame at all for last night, the score could've been a lot worse, no "butts" loll |

He really isn't but you wanna see him make that save a minute in, Autism Matthews didn't have the best angle there, Allen needs to have that covered |

first goal was soft but the two third period goals are tough to blame on him. a bad bounce off Mete's skate right to a wide open Brodie. not much Allen can do there. and the third goal... Hyman right on his doorstop unmarked. Allen was not an issue last night.

In the third the gap between the defense and forwards on zone exits was way too big. I get that they were opening the play, but forwards weren't giving the D any options |

The last 2 he couldn't do anything about... and I'm not blaming him at all, he played pretty solid. |

biggest issue last night was the second period. Habs were skating down hill for 20 minutes and sent 40 pucks towards the net. when that happens and you don't score, it should be because the goalie stood on his head. Campbell was sharp, but he wasn't forced into many challenging stops. Montreal settled for too many low % shots.

Lindgren sent down to the AHL, McNiven called up on taxi squad. Looks like they are going to ride an Allen/Primeau tandem for a while. |

they were good. Allen made a few real good saves in the third. but honestly i thought that neither team did much with all of their zone time in the first/second periods.

yeah he surely would like to see that 1st goal again, it's probably what made him look a bit nervous in the early part of the 1st period, but he kept his poop together and managed to do a bunch of really nice saves to keep his team in the game. also I think it was already mentioned but defensively speaking the guys in front of him didn't necessarily help him out either

they're going to do that thing where Price is indefinitely day-to-day because his injury MUST be kept secret. imagine if other teams knew where his injury had been and could exploit it when he came back!!!!

agreed, it's true I never really had the impression that Campbell was robbing them or whatever, except maybe for 1 or 2 nice saves

good, I would much rather see Primeau get the nudge, he was playing really well with the rocket recently

No Pat, they didn't help at all... they really need a D that can skate the puck out of trouble partnered with Weber... but to keep things in perspective, close loss to the #1 seed in the league and 15 games out of the last 19 with at least a point |

it's a constant challenge for this team, especially when the opposition is committed defensively, which the Leafs were last night.
and the defencemen still do that thing where they pull the puck towards the center of the blue line, wait for a defender to park themselves in the shooting lane, and fire it right into that defender.

I hope Primeau gets the start tonight.
Not that Allen wasn't stellar yesterday, but give the kid a game!

perhaps this is something they weren't necessarily expecting, since usually the habs still needed to contain the laffs' offense but were able to exploit their weaknesses in their own zone

you might be right, WPG is the team to beat imo - fidopro
Lol, the lengths some of you guys will go to avoid admitting that the Leafs are the top team in the division. They’ve owned WPG and EDM all year, on the offensive and defensive sides of the puck.
Someone else on this thread cited their dependence on the PP, even though they’ve won six straight with a single PP goal.
Anyways, it was a good game last night. Fairly balanced, but the Leafs simply have more dangerous players. Gallagher would have helped for sure

I'm agreeing with you.
I don't think that's ever happened before.
We should celebrate. |
