I really like Mikey, but i think he’s got the hockey sense of a 5 year old.

I’ll show myself out.

I was hoping he was going to be around awhile.
- Garnie

He's playing in the AHL now for the Calgary affiliate, hard to say if he will get another crack at the NHL or not he's getting to that age where it may never happen.

Speed for days, he strikes me as a guy whose hands can't keep up with his brain right now. He has shown in the past (pre-injury) that he had hands so I'm hoping he can find them again. Right in time for playoffs would be nice.

That's why he is a third liner.

Puck Authority is reputable, but Puck Authorrrrrrity is better.
- Atomic Wedgie

Dude, the 4-r version of Authorrrrity is the real insider.

You got duped by some 14 year old in Mike's mom's basement, sorry.

Guys open and he never seems to get them the puck - a little bit of brain delay or something 🤣

Yep, needs to slow down once he gets by and get the puck upstairs. He plays like he’s carrying a shovel around some times.

I like the Leafs. The Leafs are good most of the time. Sometimes they're bad but they are good more than they are bad.

I don't see the Leafs giving up Sandin/Liljegren/Robertson/Amirov for Hall
- PatC80

I'd give up one of those guys and a 1st if Buffalo signed Hall to a 4 year $8m extension and then retained 50% on the trade! I mean. It worked in NHL20.

They ARE more gooderer than they are badderer. This is a huge change from the rest of our lives where they were very badderer than they were ever good at all.

Yup, for a long time they were bad, which was bad. But now they're good, which is good.

TBH i just want Hall for the stretch run and playoffs. If he lights it up then let him walk and get paid with the ducks or something.

At 50% retained w/ Ullmark, I'd trade that 1st in a heartbeat.
- mjones242

I would as well. That changes it.

I don't think he's actually injured.. I think he's taking a mental break from hockey.. Andersen hasn't started skating, there is no timeline for his return and no word on what type of injury he has..

Me too. Actually a little burnout like. Campbell holding the fort till he clears the head.

Do you want to complain but the defensive side of him? Because he's miles ahead in that department.

I agree but what seems to stick in alot of peoples heads is that he went on a rip vs the Leafs in the playoffs and they think that goalie they saw in that 5 game series is who he is.

I personally don't think so, I think he is exactly what his #'s show - average - which the Leafs have in Andersen currently (yes at more $) and got last year from Andersen.

Now the 3 years prior to that they got Andersen who was way above average but that's a distant memory I suppose.

- Cush29

all this exactly.

I like Freddy, but I am fine of he doesnt play again for the Leafs.
he has just been steadily declining since they got him..its been slow and gradual.

but, even with the much improved D play he still stinks. now all that could be injury related? but whats the injury?

I did say I like him.

Him and the giraffe are a good pair. They just need Hyman or maybe a Foligno.

What does Campbell have to do with whether every goal scored on Andersen was the softest goal ever scored? That’s the revisionism. Breaking down his play on individual goals to try to determine if they were in fact soft or not Andersen isn’t relevant to a decision as to whether Campbell hadn’t played enough since he was injured at the time.

Also, I think everyone appreciates your personal heroism in taking so much heat by being the only person to point out that Freddie wasn’t very good.

- Canada Cup

Campbell can succeed where Andersen couldn't, when people said Andersen wasn't succeeding because of the team in front of him.

Its the same team.

Its not a difficult concept.

Mickey is one of the reasons the team is good
