I would love for them to add some skilled grit, and shore up the D, but I think they need a legit #1 goalie that can not only steal a game, but a series. Campbell may be that guy this year, but I don't think he is sturdy enough to shoulder a team through an entire season.. The goalie options mentioned seem aimed at replacing Hutch, when I think they need to replace Freddy...

Yes but then they have to have cap space to reinstate him before then end of the season. Couldn’t use the LITR space then at the trade deadline. If he stayed on LITR until the end of the year then there is no cap for the playoffs and you can use that cap space to add at the deadline.

I was thinking longer term. upcoming playoffs, and Next season. Will replacing Hutch really move the needle if Campbell goes down in the playoffs? I think not. Can Campbell play 60 games next season? I think not.

It's maybe not a typical deadline move for a team on the Leaf's position, but if they could bury Anderson, and replace him with a legit starter, I think it would move the needle more than moving assets to shore up forward or D depth.
