Does anyone here posting actually have a job? I only work when back in Canada and chose the projects that I want to do. No offence intended, just seems like a very lively thread for a bunch of old retired guys.

It's been reported the #Canucks have a firm re-sign deal in mind for Pearson and won't budge.

It's been reported there are numerous teams interested in Pearson.

This feels like a win-win situation so naturally Pearson won't be traded and walks in the offseason. #TheCanuckWay

Some didn't want to take him in the top 10 because his skating was not going to be good enough for the NHL. 3 points in 6 games coming off his injury.

Another top name is expected to be held out of the lineup tonight, as Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports that David Savard will likely be a healthy scratch tonight for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Savard is currently listed in the top spot on Frank Seravalli of TSN’s Trade Bait board.

Nice to hear that zoo animals in the States are getting the vaccine before our citizens. That’s wonderful

That’s not surprising at all. But the AAV is too high imo

I have way less of a problem with the AAV than I do the term and the protection.

He had 45 points in 69 games last year. If we compare his AAV to Roussel or Sutter or Beagle, then really its more than fair.

The expansion protection is a HUGE fail, there is absolutely no reason to give him that, and the term is way too long.

Apparently from Drance he only has some no-trade protection, so doesn't have to be protected. Expansion is moot point though, draft is in a couple months and they'll protect him anyway. The kick in the nuts is that (frank)ing Jimbo found another creative way to make the contract buyout proof. Backloaded with signing bonuses in year three, this team is painful to follow

yeah I just read that as well. Thats a ton of commitment to a soon to be 29 year old.
