More to go around now that Neal is in Edmonton. Less to go around now that he took his dealer. - K-man25
Neal will shine in the PO's and Lucic will be sweeping floors at the Saddledome. lol
Go figure. |

Does Neal still play?
I know most fans would do that deal again, Looch has lost a step but is still a better fit in Calgary than Neal.
Plus Holland was nice enough to pay part of his salary, and just for good measure, throw in a 3rd round pick. Holland’s a genius! |

Merkley on waivers in NJ....I will be disappointed if we don't claim him.

If the Flames are trading Gio, it has to be somewhere where he can get a chance to chase the Cup. He's earned that solid. - Load Management
Totally disagree. Gio hasn't earned squat. Look at how his game turns to crap any time he's been in the playoffs - he doesn't lead by example, he folds, takes needless penalties and isn't worthy of the C. Flames should have cut and run as soon as he won the Norris. At that point, he was actually worth something, though everyone knew he'd never match anywhere remotely close to that season.

Should, which probably means we won't and will instead feed Josh Leivo minutes. |

Low risk. Guy played for my hometown Rockets, was a pretty good junior player. Haven’t followed his nhl career, but did look up his stats this year, 2g4a in 13 games. That’s a good pickup. |

Also some roster flexibility going into the TDL. Especially if the plan is to trade players for picks. |

Would like to see him here. He can skate, too. Definitely a better option than some others in the roster. |

Its a buyers market. I cannot see a big move happening till the summer.
We can't even get the timing of a retool correct.

lol not sure. Pretty sure he's been dressing maybe he's been a healthy scratch a few times. Better player for the PO's anyways. Tippett seems to favour Chiasson over Neal which is odd but whatever. 3 cups for Holland and counting... |

Especially in the Nucks thread where it's drug-induced.
In between the same 9-10 posters pitching the same narratives daily of course...lol |

As an occasional visitor/lurker, it can get toxic fast in there. Will have to check back and see what its like in here in 3 years.

He’s been taxi squad a lot for cap purposes. Dunno why Neal would be considered better in the playoffs. Lucic cucked the Jets last year. |

Better in the playoff? Last time he was there it was to eat popcorn and watch from the press box. Peters embarrassed him just enough to motivate him to train for 1 off season. Guys back to his old party boy self, can’t even get along with Smitty and that’s one of his friends.
Holland’s a dinosaur, he might have 3 cups but we’re you even old enough to watch them? |

I am think that Sutter brought in to do an assessment of the room. The owners like him and trust him.
This team needs to rebuild. They tried to do a fast-track rebuild after trading Iggy, but they needed 2-3 more years of top pics before trading away firsts for already established players.
We need to make bacon with this pig, not put another layer of lipstick on it.

Nuks thread has turned to covidbuzz, there’s lots of finger pointing and shaming going on in there right now.
Easy, do what you believe is best for yourself and don’t worry what others are doing. I’ve been in Mexico for over 2 months, don’t know anyone that’s got the Big C, gone to live baseball games, out for dinner, have workers at our house....no talk of covid here, lots of people not wearing masks unless you go into the city.
All the talk back home is driving fear and making people nuts. Glad I’m here instead just wish the Flames were playing better. |

Don’t think we see a complete rebuild here. That trade for Hamonic was the wrong move at the time. We weren’t close enough to give up those kind of assets. Looking back now, Snow snowed us big time. |

True and kind of sad really. A few posts against the narratives and the gang is all over you. Pushed a lot of great posters out of the thread too. Plus the refs are on board with most of the narratives which is what it is too. Oh well lol...it's fun. I'm sure most in there are good folks and want the Canucks to win, but sometimes other sh!t takes over.
To bad there are so many fear believers. |

We were just missing a top 4 guy so bad. Wideman was spiralling and had filled that role prior to the incident.
Are you KelownaMan on Reddit? I think I just replied to you if so. |

The Flames got nothing in return for Iggy, they should've traded him years prior when the value would've been high. |

Has more to do with the assets than acquiring the player at all in my view. The cost was just too high for what he ended up being as a Flame. Hurts because Dobson was drafted with our pick, but had Hamonic been what we'd expected, I would have paid that price anyways. He was still young enough at the time and was well thought of.
We gave up the same to get Dougie and no one batted an eyelash when he came in and started to produce right away. |

I do not think we see a full rebuild either. But unless we get extremely lucky drafting and with trades, we are stuck in mediocrity until we do.
