You have to start Murray when he is back or it is already a wasted investment. Forsberg deserves to be up so then it depends on whether we give up on Hog or not.

Jets were the faster team. They also got away with a stupid amount of bs (stick holding, impeding progress-aka-interference) and then seemingly went down like baby deer when touched.

Forgettable game for sure. I give Michael props for finding positives out of that one.

It will be interesting to see what happens with goaltending when Murray is 100% healthy. It will be even more interesting if he falters.

Personally, Iā€™d like to see Murray and Forsberg splitting games in the NHL with Gustavsson and Hogberg in the AHL with Hogberg riding the pine.

"Nights like this are part of the growing pains that we should all expect from a young team like this" or some players are tuning out the coaches message.

Was there ever an "official explanation" as to why the game Wednesday is at 5 pm?

Last time it happened I heard it had something to do with coverage rights, between TSN and Sportsnet?

I'll be more than happy if Dzingle signs with us.

he only plays well for us and if we can get super cheap, he is a very worthwhile signing

Agreed... guys like Brown, Tierney, Paul, and Dzingel are not only useful and versatile players, but are typically in high demand at the trade deadline. Case in point, Dorion has reportedly gotten several offers for Brown, but unless there's an overpayment (e.g. the Dzingel deal with CBJ), he's more valuable to the team than a random draft pick. In the case of Dzingel, there are guys who just play better in certain places, and he seems to be at his best in a Senators uniform. If he's willing to sign a relatively affordable deal with limited term, I'd be more than fine with that.

You need to distinguish between our Browns. Some are more precious than others.

Dean Brown is more meaningful than Josh or Logan right now.

Sportsnet latest draft ranking.

Beniers is so highly ranked by so many different publications. He could be the Centre the Sens need.

Johnson and Guenther impress as well.

It's doubtful that Beniers would get past Detroit, who seem poised to draft ahead of the Senators, and are certainly in need of a high-quality C. Look down around the #5 mark, and that's more realistically where Ottawa will be picking (especially given their draft lottery track record). One of Johnson, Guenther, or Clarke would likely still be available (assuming Beniers/Power go in the top-3), and really any of those 3 would be very welcome. That said, the issue at 'C' is going to continue to be a major problem until they figure out if Stutzle can effectively make that transition or not.
