I don't see Fletcher doing ANYTHING as he likes to practices Paralysis by Analysis.
On the other hand, I think both the Leafs and the Islanders will be making moves in the next few days.

I wouldn't say ANYTHING. Going by last year, he did bring in some talent on 3-4 line. It was needed, and he got it done. They were deals at the time. He couldn't resign because UFA and their salaries went up. I could see Fletcher signing an average defenseman for picks (not the #1).
Fletcher has been looking for a Nisky replacement for a long time. But, the fit just hasn't worked out. He has several problems; expansion draft spots, the cap, and he doesn't want to give up high valued prospects for average talent. On the other hand, Teams aren't going to take deadweight players (Gus, Ghost).
