I used to make it a point and watch the flyers as much as possible.
Now I am on record and watch a game in half an hour depending on the start and score.
Nothing says fandom like indifference.
It hasn’t been an easy season given the bull poop we have been subjected to with the wuhan virus.
The flyers aren’t the only team dealing with it though.
Personally I would think playing hockey would be a great respite from the insanity of the daily propaganda machine.
When I watch the flyers I see them largely disconnected and playing with very little drive to achieve any sort of goal.
If the whole team is so affected mentally that they can’t focus then maybe a team sports psychologist is warranted.
I will at least thank the flyers for the extra tune in my day I can use for hobbies etc. |

New Jersey is (frank)in useless
In the 90’s they (frank)ed up by winning. Now they (frank) us by losing. |

The moral of this is to put yourself in a position not to rely on other teams (people). |

If Konecny is scratched in favor of Patrick then this is another reason to criticize AV. Doesn't make sense. |

Flyers currently have 7 healthy defensman on the roster. Haag is due to come off injured reserve at some point this month. That would make 8So if York is eventually going to suit up for the Flyers this season, which would make 9. Something has to happen. |

I don’t have an issue with scratching TK.
Sitting him sonyou can play NP on wing doesn’t really make sense.
I’d rather see JV sit.
He gets a pass for his poor play and he can play better. |

Especially with his offense as those 2 goals in his last 25 games are really making a difference |

You may be onto something. There could be a division in the locker room we are not aware of. |

Got a question for you flyers fans, what exactly would you say is the trade value on JVR/voracek?
Both players have had bounce back years no doubt but let’s say if Calgary were to be negotiating a package for a Gaudreau trade would the flyers have to pay a little extra for the flames to take either’s contract or do the two players carry enough positive value to defeat the purpose of bringing either player in? |

If they continue to play uninspired hockey and get blown out, I would rather not expose York to this mess. |

Well you're right. The way Patrick is lighting it up offensively, he deserves to be in over Konecny.

I think with the struggles of Carter Hart this season during his contract year, the team had an excellent opportunity to lock him up cheaply for the long term.
If I’m Cliff Fletcher, I am offering him a maximum 8 year deal. He is locked up during his absolute prime years (22-30). With the flat cap outlook for the next 2-3 years and his value at the lowest it could possibly be, what AAV do you think he could be signed for?
I think this would show the team was totally committed to him no matter his current struggles. This should ease him mentally and allow him to get back to what we know is his true elite status.
I would also hire his long time psychologist and put him on staff for the same 8 year term. Hart clearly misses and needs him.
Your thoughts? |

I don't see Hart signing an 8 year deal at this point.

Hart and his sports psychologist, John Stevenson, parted ways during the offseason. No, I don't think that has anything to do with his struggles this season.
I could see Hart getting a multi-year extension despite his rough season, but not for eight years.

I'd do 8 years for 30 million but nothing that would prohibit being able to dump him if needed. He can take it or leave it. Right now. |

I think that could be disastrous for Hart....he’s already struggling upstairs. I wouldn’t want him to try and live up to a huge contract yet....give him a two year 4 mil deal...and let him play his way back to being a franchise goalie.

Why doesn’t the quotes work. Is there a trick or something? Or does it just work sometimes and other times not?
Regarding TK sitting while Patrick is in... I tend to agree with MJL. Unless AV just thinks TK needs a break. They’ve been playing a lot of Hockey. One day off, can make a big impact. Most fans thinks it’s negative for it to be a healthy scratch. It probably is is most cases. |

You know what’s awesome ? The Flyers are playing almost every second night!! You know what sucks? The Flyers are playing almost every second night.
It’s getting hard to watch them some nights. I was thinking wouldn’t it be nice if they were competitive. It is pretty cool as a fan to see this much hockey. Tough on the players mentally I’m sure. |
