Talbot probably played his best game of the season last night and with goaltending at a premium maybe Guerin could flip Talbot at the deadline for a future asset, The problem with that would be finding a backup like Stalock for example. 10 more days until the deadline, Can't wait to see what Guerin has In mind. Solid win for the Wild Inspite of the anti Minnesota officiating.

I don't think Guerin signed Talbot to a 3yr deal, just to flip him at the trade deadline. Just don't think that is possible, unless someone came with a true #1 C and draft picks. But I am curious about the style of play from the Wild with each goalie. They both have the same GAA, basically same minutes played and same amount of games played. But Talbot has a save % of .926, whereas Kahkonen is at .920. Talbot has faced 43 more shots, which breaks down to about 2.5 shots more a game. Now I understand 2.5 doesn't seem like much...but it leads me to believe that the Wild play a more open, offensive game with Talbot in net compared to a slightly more defensive posture with Kahkonen. I wonder if this is by design or just by chance.

Anyone else not see last nights game on NBCSN, on Hulu? Wild website said it was on there, but I couldn't get it. I know we get blocked during home games, but this game was in LV. Just kind of bugs me.

Have a Happy Easter all!

When Guerin signed Talbot he didn't know that Talbot would be playing the best hockey of his career, Talbot has more value now than he ever has.

Sorry, but I just don’t’ see Kahkonen holding up as the #1 goalie just yet. Too small of a sample size still. Now if Talbot is playing like this next year and KK has proven that he is a true #1 goalie, then I can see Agustin entertaining trade offers on Talbot.

And hopefully Guerin is just blowing smoke about not wanting to mess with team chemistry right now. That would mean he really doesn’t want to trade Johansson, who is starting to click with Fiala. And the comments about wanting to re-sign Cole scares me as well. Guys that should be moved by the trade deadline are: Johansson, Bonino (even if he is the only one that can win a faceoff), Cole, Dumba, Rask and Bjugstad. And if Guerin can leverage the 1st Rd pick from Pittsburgh into a decent center, that needs to be done as well.

Bjugstad can be replaced by Boldy. Bonino can be replaced by Luke Johnson. Dumba can be replaced by Addison. Cole can be replaced by Belpedio. Johansson can be replaced by a new, younger player coming in. And Rask can be replaced with a bag of pucks.

I hope that Guerin Is blowing smoke about likely not making any moves at the deadline as well.

Wild win two straight In Vegas Inspite of the officiating, Talbot Is playing over his head, I truly believe that Talbot Is worth more as a trade chip than he Is as the Wild's number one netminder. We have Colorado and St.Louis coming up, I predict a rough stretch for Minnesota.
