Team is totally dysfunctional. Not sure whom, when, or if someone in the organization will ever have the stones to come out and say it, but it’s obvious something or someone has to go ASAP. We’re seeing a team crumble right before our eyes, night in and night out. These Flyers have NO identity whatsoever...it’s embarrassing. Zero emotion shown on ice tonight...barely a whimper. For everyone on these boards that posit in today’s NHL you don’t need physical players, deterrents on the ice, etc., I say BS! The best teams — even most bad teams — stick up for one another and show emotion when things go sour on the ice. Not with this group. There’s something rotten in the locker room, most likely with multiple players, and it’s time for the organization to make changes - now!!

Been a fan since 1973...at this point in time, I’m honestly embarrassed to be a Flyers fan.

Bill,

Can you HONESTLY see this team buying? It looks like they are an unmitigated disaster s constructed.

If possible, could you please tell us the thinking to keeping 86 on the fourth line when down by 2,3,4 goals?

Also, the thinking of benching Ghost? Gustafson is not any better in the D zone.

You give us great insight into the Flyers, but sometimes you come across as a champion of the team, kind of like how Jackson and Jonesy are now after the hot mic moment.

This team needs to be blown up -- I hate the fact that fletcher will think that they need to buy at the moment

If you do not know the answer, you are as clueless as Flyers management

Everything is perimeter shooting with this team. I never see anyone take an extra two strides to get closer to the net.

And is there a ranking for slowest and poorly timed line changes?

Still, nice to see Buffalo get a win.

Makes me long for the glory days of Paul Lawless, Shawn Antoski, Slava Butsayev and Jiri Latal. Ah, good times. Good times.

This team needs an overhaul. I know it was a frustrating time, but this team was not ready for prime time and should have continued rebuilding for a couple more years. Now we are left with a team that is lost and in serious need of a shake up. I’m not sure an off-season of retooling and a few trades will be enough to right the ship. This may require another full blown rebuild which would take many years. I am so frustrated.

I said that I think the team ideally need to both a seller and buyer, as they were in 2007, if they can do that. It's not for this season. It's to be a better team next year and beyond. Fletcher was correct in saying the mix isn't right.

I'm not the Flyers' "champion". I criticize as needed but I am not a big fan of hyperbole. The month of March was atrocious on an historical level. Things have gone so far off the rails that the team may have buried itself for the season. Full stop.

That said, they entered March at 11-4-3, riding a three-game winning streak. They were NOT playing as well as their record would suggest, but it was still fixable andt the Flyers were in pretty good shape in the standings. What went on in March is unacceptable and may not be fixable this season.

The closely packed schedule, the young team, the Covid break, the serious ailments to 2 young forwards, the lack of a veteran Dman and the negative feedback loops between poor D and poor goalie play makes what we are seeing not quite as improbable as one might think.

Having said that Bill, even with all those issues corrected, we were nowhere near a championship track. My only hope is that this epic collapse, painful as it is, does continue, and we clean most of the deadwood next couple of seasons and pick up some high picks.

Why include Anton? He was a 4th liner here for contending Flyers teams. Did fine til he got KOed by Twist.

Latal had talent, but consistency issues. Lawless passed through here very briefly. Butsayev never adapted/ felt like adapting to the NHL game.

A franchise history worst GA/GAA for one month was pretty improbable. Back in Jan 1993 -- still a very high-scoring era in the NHL -- Flyers weren't even close to the worst GAA in the league with their 4.40 GAA for the month. A couple clubs were over 5.00 that month.

Back then, a 4.41 GAA for a month was really bad but not astounding. For this era, it's staggering and inexcusable regardless of the schedule, COVID and other issues.

The last few weeks seeing AV's roster decisions and now his post game comments, saying his team was ready to play tonight, wanted a good game, refusing to comment on the teams worst month of hockey ever, having no answer as to why this is going on .....the accountability has to start with him. I had high hopes for him as a bench boss, but this train wreck of a month can't be excused, and mirrors his handling of the Rangers when they fell off (leading to his firing). I'm not thrilled about the idea of firing another coach, but I don't believe this coaching staff is the right fit for the roster any longer.

unlike the players giving up on the coach the coach isn't going to give up on his players publicly

Gingers have no soul.
Gingers feel no emotion.
They feel pain differently from the rest of us.

Time for a ginger cleanout.

The thought of this team being buyers is absolutely ridiculous.

You think this has been bad. Wait til they play Boston and Washington.

Flyers should be thanking their lucky stars that they don’t have to play teams like Tampa, Colorado, Vegas or even Toronto/Montreal right now and that the WFC isn’t open to full capacity. There would definitely be jerseys on the ice by now.

Well they just signed York to an ELC, so they aren't going anywhere anytime soon!
