Stone looked half decent last game. Another guy that was made for a Sutter system.

Sutter loves veterans, he likes to push his younger players to be better. That’s why Dube and ValimakiI sat last game, they havent been good enough Hopefully this pushes them to be better.
Would like to see Stone play some more but with Valimaki not Nesterov.

These projected lines for tonight are interesting to say the least

Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Brett Ritchie

Matthew Tkachuk - Elias Lindholm - Josh Leivo

Joakim Nordstrom - Mikael Backlund - Sam Bennett

Milan Lucic - Derek Ryan - Andrew Mangiapane

It's part of his game. Be invisible so no one checks him and he can be all alone in the slot.

Mang on the fourth line now after that line dominated last game. Classic

Lots of scuttlebutt today on top DMAN demand.
Assuming we continue to fall out of things, I wonder if Tre considers selling high on Hanifin or Tanev.

Maybe if hanifin was a little bit older you consider it but at 24 I have a hard time not seeing the team take a chance that this is a breakout rather than just a career year that will regress.

Especially considering his role in hanifin’s development I don’t think that tanev is worth as much on the trade market as he is to the team. You may consider it in the sense that you can “get more now than what you will later” but unless you’re trying to compete with buffalo for last I don’t see it happening.

With that notion it’s unlikely you see either guy moved unless JG and monahan are moved in which case I would suspect waiting until summer 22’ as we will know by then the extent of how much work there is to do to retool/rebuild

As much as I love him and as great as he's been for the Flames..... this is very fair point.

Can one bad call change a game? No kicking motion? Really?
The officials take a long time to make it look like it's a really close call and they want to get it right.
BULLSH!T! They took a really long time because if they'd made a quick decision everyone would have realized they were calling it a good goal to fck Sutter for saying the ref was blind on the Tanev hit.

And the hit on Tanev with no boarding penalty? Maybe even a major penalty? Don't make me laugh.

At least this time it's not game 6 of the SC finals. It's only destroying whatever faint hope the Flames had of getting into the playoffs. No big deal.

Anyone check the NHL site lately? Notice how the ONLY Canadian news is about Staal in Montreal. Literally NOTHING about ANY other North division team - game results, playoff chances, NOTHING.

What a total farce this league is when the ONLY reason Tim Peel didn't get away with it like he thought he could was because of a hot mic. His mistake was getting caught. So Bettman had no choice. His first time? Hardly. Is he the only one? How likely is that? It's the game within the game.

Anybody else watch Saturday's game with the sound off because of the fugly broadcast crew? F.ck, I really used to love watching hockey. Now, it's like watching wrestling.
Some people may call it entertainment but imo this crap isn't hockey.

And while I'm on a roll , I'll predict that the winner of the north division will be either Toronto or Montreal because they're in the eastern time zone , which will make the TV gods happy. In al probability less travel too.
Not that it matters. Because no Canadian team will make it to the finals anyway. Bettman and refs like Peel will make sure of that.

Hockey is such a business now, not fair, but rather what gets more ratings and more revenue.

Welp, new coach, same disaster. I am sick of this team. GM may have to go, smart move would be to shake up the roster in the off-season, perhaps at the deadline if the right deal comes along.

It wasn't just those two, the disallowed goal against the Flames was also a complete joke.

The officiating in the NHL has gotten to such a ridiculous point. I don't even care about Peel saying what he said, I care more that the NHL moved quickly to fire a guy who said exactly what fans have known for years and won't even bat an eye at the terrible on-ice job these guys do nightly.

Referees need to start having post game media availability. It's clear that the NHL does nothing to actually oversee these guys, might as well give the media a crack at holding them accountable.

Part of the problem is that you can't speak out against what the internet mob sees as "progress" or you will be publicly shamed. The NHL is more worried about being seen as socially progressive.....catering to small minorities, than appeasing their top viewing demographic.

How's Tanev after the clean check by Dubois?
