Chabot played an awesome game. Zub is very good and has steadily improved as the season has unfolded. Zaitsev was okay. Not sure there is another NHL Dman on that roster. Reilly looked okay on some shifts but I still shudder whenever he handles the puck in his own end.

Poor Wolanin.
He makes a couple of ill advised pass attempts resulting in icings and gets benched.
This coach is baffling. CW is still learning his teammates quirks and habits. It comes with playing time.

Colin White was quiet but not-quiet. He does so much right.

Zaitsev hasn't looked bad either.

What was with the intermission talk of Gustafson getting work on his blocker hand for circulation problems?

Zub has been a great addition to the lineup. Almost every time he gets the puck, he makes a good or great play. My hope is that they sign him to a contract with term and protect him in the Seattle entry draft.

I liked the Murray aquistion at the time, and i still like the idea of him being on the bench at this point i would grade him as a B+ backup. This year they get a discount on his paycheck...next 3 years, its not horrible for the team but could be better spent.. I could see him going to Seattle..

....dadanov contract would be nice to say goodbye to

Dzingle i think will be staying.. at a reasonable price.

Zub is a keeper.

Gus has been touted as the next Lunqvist for quite some time. Daccord has a better record but I think they are the duo for the next decade at least.

I like Joey D but I still think Gus is our future.

At least one will be exposed in the Seattle expansion draft. Both if we foolishly protect Murray.

At this point, they are both proving themselves.

Maybe that's why they are trying to keep them in the minors so Seattle wont be that interested.

I actually like Murray and I do think he'll get back to his normal level of play, I really think it's a confidence thing with him. But we should expose him to Seattle.

I also think it would be foolish to assume Seattle will target us specifically for goalies, when your prospect pool is obviously so rich with forwards.

he's in for watson, who had a cast on his left arm today......looks like injured blocking a shot in the closing seconds of the game.

Dzingle is a keeper, he loves the Sens and I do too.. So please sign the guy for 2 or 3 years at $2.75M AAV....unless a team overpays with a 1st round pick, which I sincerly doubt.

I'm seeing on Twitter that Smith says he will be in the lineup tomorrow.

I also doubt Dzingle will be moved at the deadline. He would likely slot as a fourth liner on the few elite teams that are expected to be pursuing rentals at the deadline. Perhaps a lower tier playoff team will offer an average prospect or a mid-to-late round draft pick. Unfortunately any deal would also require the Sens to take back an unfavorable contract to offset the Dzingle's cap hit. This variety of deal should not interest the Sens.

As Dzingle seems to have far more value to the Sens than any other team, I anticipate the Sens will overpay slightly to ensure he resigns, likely a shorter-term deal valued around $1.95 million per season.

So is Dzingle. Lots of players come close to 97 in straight speed. The difference is 97 can think and execute at full speed. Very few players have been able to synch their ice vision, thinking, speed and hand/eye coordination in the way that McDavid is able to execute.

In several recent games I have seen Stutzle start to put it all together. He needs to improve on his finish. He has hit a few posts and been robbed by some great goalie saves. Stutzle needs a huge multi point game, perhaps tonight.

Formenton won't disappoint with his speed if that's what you want but for me it seems like his game is still at last year's level. It's almost like he's reached his development ceiling. I thought he had more growth left in him but so far I'm wrong. He's still a one trick pony and that's taking off on breakaways. The rest of his game is at best mediocre and at the NHL level he might have trouble scoring on breakaways because he doesn't have great hands and the goaltending is better. He'll be OK on the 4th line and he'll still be exciting to watch for those who like "EXCITING".

Have not seen much of Formenton for well over a year now. But, my thought was that he was responsible in his own end and could be relied on as a good defensive player and as a penalty killer. I thought he would make the NHL earlier than this because he can be trusted defensively.

He is defensively responsible but I'm curious to see how effective he is at the NHL level. For example making the right reads, winning puck battles, how good is he with his stick, how good is his positioning. If all he brings is being good defensively which is fine then he's going to be a 4th line player. As I said I'm disappointed in his all around growth because I really thought he would be an elite #3 LW and now I don't see it.

This was honestly my concern after watching him during his stint int he nhl.
World class speed, but not a lot lot of finish. He seemed to be proving me wrong somewhat by putting up good points in the AHL, but as you said the NHL is a whole another animal.

I'd also love to be proven wrong, he's still quite young, but goal scoring is the hardest thing to teach at a later stage in a player's development.

But hey, Maybe he can be a reverse Mark Stone.

most "experts" are saying he won't be a big point producer at the NHL level. i'm expecting him to be a faster version of pageau....10-12 goals, 30-25pts, but solid 2-way bottom six player.

anyone expecting him to be a top six winger who puts up tons of points will likely be quite disappointed

Orr was incredible, but he wasn't as fast as McDavid.......i genuinely believe he's the most skilled highend player who's ever played.

not the "best player of all time" just the most skilled.
