Carol Schram: The red-hot Canucks have closed the gap; turning to Holtby Sat. in Montreal Thatcher Demko has been the backbone of the Vancouver Canucks' hot streak in March, but Travis Green is starting Braden Holtby on Saturday as his team finishes out a four-game road trip with the second game of a back-to-back series against the Montreal Canadiens.

Nice Carol. Never really thought of the Vesey to Leivo comparison but it's a pretty good one. Similar types of games.

You did miss a "d" in didn't 2nd paragraph from the bottom. top line

If Gaudette is going to continue to play centre for a while on the 4th line. I wouldn't mind him being reunited with Roussel and Virtanen to see if they can regain a bit of offence they had with each other last season.

/Cam Robinson/ is on spring break
@Hockey_Robinson
Nice little three-point outing for Samu Tuomaala today.

Gives him 31 points 30 U20 SM-sarja games this season.

He’s a sneaky kid in this upcoming draft.

------------
Samu does have 5 games in Liiga with no points.

PPG in a league that probably has a quality a little less than the Q.

Thanks Carol,

Sure VAN is only one point back of MTL right now, but they have 4 games in hand, CAL has 3.

You really liked how Miller didn't just dump the puck in and chase after it eh. Me too.

We'll have lots of time to worry about that during the week off.

Thx Carol well done as usual.

Good company for JTM in how quick he got to 100 points as a Nuck.

I get that Holtby has a great record vs the Habs at the Bell centre but that was mentioned last time too lol.

Demko Should be starting.

Just Hoping Holtby isn't quite ready to give up the net just yet and we see a SO.

Thanks Carol, just watched the highlight of the Miller goal, that was sweet!

I like Miller, the price paid is certainly a fair price, still don’t like the trade. If the team really won’t be competitive for two more years will they even be able to afford to sign Miller (AND Horvat)? It’s shaping up like the 22-23 season will be the one to go all-in (again) on before they have to make tough choices on their new core.

No idea really on tonight’s game. Can the Canucks score 4? I feel like Holtby will be good for 3 against so I guess we’ll see.

It's a building problem. They'll have the Petey, Demko, Hughes new contracts (2021), and a new contract for Boeser (2022) when they have to resign JTM (who will be turning 30 at that point) and Bo in the same offseason (2023) – and that's assuming they give Petey, Demko, and Hughes 3+ year deals.

Some people don't like the thought of trading JTM, but IMO if you can flip him next year for a young #1 D, it really helps balance out the team so they're not forcing everything into that one one-year window.

I think everything should be on the table, take the Seahawk's for example their best player Russell Wilson's not happy, too bad. If the offer is there he's gone. Same should apply to all VAN player's.

Seahawks

But ya, if the offer is there and it improves the team, of course you take a look at it.

So, if I'm reading this right, we have to trade him and then we win a cup?

But also, Washington let Schmidt go, then they won a cup. And then Vegas let him go... they're in line next? Then us once we trade JTM?

I honestly have no problem trading Schmidt because I don't see a long term fit with the direction of the defence. Miller, probably have to knock the GM's socks off. A mid first, 2nd and a B+ prospect. You get enough, draft a centre and RHD plus your own picks. Hopefully they cover Miller and some.

From the last blog, Google event 201 by Bill gates but don't read the cover ups lol. I watched it and he flat out said we are going to depopulate using vaccines and health care, this was before the virus and this was planned if people do there research, but a fact won't resonate if it goes out of your belief system, we have been programmed that way. Also reasearch operation mockingbird and paper clip.
