Even though I'm a Wild fan In North Dakota, Calgary and Edmonton Is definitely my favorite rivalry, Looking forward to the game on Wednesday. I wish NBCSNLSD would show more late night Western Conference games.

Yup, they did not cave. They had plenty of opportunities to cave and they did not.

Baby steps.

Pretty sure this told the tale of ward being fired was the players idea!

Too bad for him but good for the flames and said fans if they can plug along they should be in 4th soon enough a date with the leafs sounds like a good idea right now!

Playoffs would be great, but a long road ahead.

Don’t think the players wanted to get Ward fired. They needed more structure than he was capable of. Sutter’s history weather you like it or not demands respect. Play my way or don’t play.
Lots of players getting a 2nd chance but Kylington has to feel pretty good right now. He’s been pigeoned towed as the 7th defense when Peter’s was here, and it carried through with the assistance. Glad to see him get a decent chance.
Never know, he could be the player Seattle wants.

Man I’ve watched that fight so many times. Good to see someone stand up for their teammates. Didn’t realize how tough Ritchie is. He’s probably cemented his spot in the lineup with his play the last 3 games. Monahan looks tougher with him on the wing.

I really like having the all Canadian Division, more then likely it will back next year but that weasel Bettman probably won’t allow it.

Yeah he is doing what he needs to do on that first line. Forecheck hard and create turnovers. Be nice to see him score a couple dirty goals.

With this condensed season it is a smart move to try and tole 4 lines.

I was surprised the Monahan line got a defensive zone faceoff with 2 minutes and change left in the 3rd. Shows Sutter is giving them responsibilities.

Thx Todd for this day after blog.
Writing must come a lot easier when there are
positive things to talk about.

Loved to see Smith helping his old team.
Loved to see Ritchie earning a permanent roster spot.
Loved to see JG fighting! for the puck.
Loved to see Backstrom doing a Rocket Richard imitation (you could practically see the fire in his eyes.)
Bennett putting an Oiler halfway into the Flames bench.
Monahan checking!
Markstrom. First time since Kipper that you say to yourself - No problem. He'll make this save.
But Tkachuk.....didn't notice him too much last night. Interesting....

I noticed that as well. Also noticed Johnny getting the puck deep and making a quick change before he gave up a goal. Good on Sutter for making everyone responsible.

Maybe we can sacrifice a baby pig or something. Put the voodoo hex on him!
But your right he had the goat horns on for a couple Flames goals, he’ll be armed for bear.

Brett Ritchie has always been tough, Nice size too but he's never been able to secure a roster spot In 10 years.

Bear is going to be loaded? He looked that way last game. McD is more dangerous after he is held off the scoresheet. He got his cookie. Expect a bit better diving next game. He hates when people check him effectively.
