Like them or hate them, they both contributed to this thread. That JB dude really screwed the Oiler blog up, he should be the one banned out of here.
This used to be a fun place to visit now it’s dead, feel sorry for Sean, putting in the effort only to have 2-3 guys post in here.

Hoping Sutter shows the boys some ga e film of Drysaddle taking liberties on th Johnny and Mangipani. Should be some pushback tonight.
McDavid always plays well against the Flames, but Tippet riding him and Leon hard is going to take its toll.
Sutter playing 4 lines fairly even, trying to play a more high tempo game. I expect a very entertaining, chippy affair. 4-2 Flames.

I was banned for awhile. Look, I (frank)ed up and it took me awhile to take responsibility, but I actually am sorry.

Kinda stupid how people replying to me got banned for just as long, some even longer.

Suspended? For what? That hit on Wellington?

He just slid into the guy... Wasn't even really a hit.

Ritchie got him full on to the face though, with that last shot.

I could see it though, he was is a vulnerable position before the contact. Still, the hit was really no different than the Turtlechuk ones before he was ragdolled by Kassian, and Calgary fans said those were both hockey hits. I see Khaira missing time anyway, that punch from Ritchie rung his bell pretty hard. Khaira is a pretty big guy, but he is definitely not a fighter.

Getting knocked out by Ritchie is punishment enough. Old time hockey, settled on the ice. Just like the tkachuk blind side hits.

Nah man. Old time hockey didn't know the dangers of concussions. You can't keep allowing players to get hit to the head, regardless if they are in a prone position, or if you hit another part of their body first.

We have to realize that hockey is just a game but the last impact of a hit to the head could last much longer than the 10-20 years a player plays at the professional level. Also the NHL has to do something because in the future there can be a hell of a lot of law suits.

He was in a prone position, yes, but you have to get rid of those shots. Same with the excuse that the player hit a shoulder first.

If you hit a player in the head, it should be a suspension. Same with hits from behind and dangerous boarding hits.

Enough is enough.

Agree to disagree. A year ago, Tkachuk got a serious beating after he blindsided Kassian. He has not tried that hit again. Last night Khaira made a bad hit on Kylington and got his ass beat. Got injured which is unfortunate. We'll see if he tries it again but i doubt he will. I guess you're saying league disciple is more effective than having to answer for your actions on the ice. I think there is a place for on ice discipline.

Kassian’s front is his blind side now?
