Put Marchand and Wilson into a steel cage and let them battle it out. They get hockey sticks as weapons. Winner gets a 250 game suspension. Loser gets a lifetime ban and a free motorized wheelchair.

Principle point of contact was the shoulder/chest. That part was clean.
Follow through was arms to the head. I don't believe the head was targeted - it just happened to be at shoulder level since Carlo was leaning. But it's still worthy of discipline.
Given the bias towards certain individuals the hit is:
1) A fine if you're Crosby, Ovechkin, etc.
2) 2 games if you're a not a superstar
3) 5+ games if you're a repeat offender
7 for Wilson was on par with this. At least the NHL is consistent in its inconsistency.
It’s hilarious watching the Bruins fans clutch their pearls about this.
Marchand is the exact same player, if he wasn’t a tiny little turd he would do more damage than Wilson nightly. But he’s a little puss so he just crosschecks people in the back of the neck or spears them, etc. Total piece of garbage, beloved by the beantown meatheads.
“He’s changed” lol.
Cry about this some more - it’s amusing as hell. (frank) the Bruins and their mouth breathing fans.
Too bad ‘Cahlo’ got hurt, but it’s par for the course playing a team of cheap shot goons.

Who in the actual (frank) has said this in seriousness?!
Also Cahlo? YOU"RE going to accent jokes? Hilarious. You stupid (frank).
Shoulder first, head second. As I stated previously, unfortunate outcome to what used to be a clean hit. - BlackSwan
Vulnerable player in a vulnerable position most pros throttle back knowing they can hurt and or ruin another pros career. Not Wilson, Stupid hit, same guy, same story, suspension for me wasn’t long enough.

How is 5+ games for a repeat offender "bias"? Seems reasonable to me.
Wilson got 7 games because he falls into category 3. 7 is ~ "5+", right?

Because Wilson’s last suspension was over 18 months ago it isn’t as a repeat offender hit which to me is ridiculous.
