Make the deal, Philly has a young center Tyson Foerster that will replace Patrick.

At this point the Flyers have been in the mix for EVERYBODY that's been available since the off-season. Have we left anyone out? 😂

Patrick Is a talent but also an Injury risk, I Identified the Flyers as one of 6 teams who can win It all this year just before the season started Ekholm Is desirable I'm sure for many teams but personally I don't see any real weaknesses with the Philly blueline.

the best part of Hagg's game today was when he took a matching minor with Aston-Reese. that was lovely. took himself off the ice and took a pen with him.

No offense, but you must not have seen many Flyers games this season. Despite their record, it's pretty much been a poop show back there.
The unexpected loss of Niskanen was huge. I'm not saying he was/is an all-world player, but his presence was extremely beneficial to Provorov, and being capable of playing the right side allowed the rest of the Dmen to slot into more appropriate roles.

Yes Monty Burns. Actually I saw Prosser alot as a Wild fan and he Is a depth player at best but I just think the Flyers are solid enough to win. If I could Improve the Flyers It would be trying to upgrade the backup goaltending.

Despite the Flyers 1st round pick likely to fall between 20 and 28 and Patrick's deflated upside, this seems far too much to surrender for a mid-tier left defenseman. The Flyers really need to add a right defenseman, bring in Ekholm would limit either him, Provorov or Sanheim to 3rd paring minutes. I suspect there will be far more favorable deals available as the deadline approaches. Nashville would likely jump at the offer, but the Flyers would be foolish to make this swap.

Duschene down four to five weeks for the Preds maybe desperate for a center. If that deal is available do it.

Does Ekholm play the right or left side for Nashville? Is he capable of playing the right side? IMO the Flyers really need someone that can play the right side on one of the top two pairings.
I'm not sure that I'm ready to give up on Patrick just yet. But as Eklund alluded to, the Philly higher-ups may be pushing for a move to address the weakness on D. With that said I don't think Patrick & picks works from a salary standpoint, right? Patrick only makes $874k while Ekholm is at $3.75M, so what subsequent move would the Flyers be making in order to fit Ekholm under this rumored deal?
How about
To NSH: Patrick ($874k), Ghost ($4.5M), & 1st - $5.374M Total
To PHI: Ekholm ($3.75M), & Jarnkrok ($2M) - $5.75M Total

Preds are a dumpster fire right now, and the last thing Poile needs to do is make a knee jerk reaction trade to salvage a lost season and save a team that's barely been competitive... Which means this is exactly the type of trade Poile will probably make.

If you can't replace Duchene and his whopping 8 points this season internally, you've got bigger problems... And the Preds certainly do.

No thanks, we don't want Ghost either. It's nice to see Nashville finally getting in on the Ghost sweepstakes though. Not gona lie, we were feeling left out.

I'm sure you know the Preds better than I do, but it seems the Ekholm is gonna go somewhere and the package of a former #2 overall and a 1st this year may be a win for them. The Preds have been mostly a great defensive team for a long while now. Is it time to look to offense?

Either Patrick plus other prospect not in the upper tier or a 1st rounder and a lower end prospect and roster player.
Patrick may always struggle and deal with migraine issues. Then again he could develop into a solid second line center.
Plus this causes problems for the flyers entry draft. If Fletch makes this deal he is an idiot.

But, but, but he had 60 points one season. Damn, thought we might've had a taker. Haha
