Leafs could call the Key Bank Center in Buffalo their home for the Stanley Cup Semi-Final or the four division winners playing in locations that allow fans.

Leafs are already used to playing home games in Buffalo.

Sabres fans should have no issue with this, seeing as their season will be over

Too bad Canadians will not be able to go to the games if they have some attendance.

You could fly to Buffalo, hang out for a month, then fly home and quarantine for 2 weeks.

11 months ago, the idea of quarantining for 2 weeks seemed like a daunting task.

After what we've been through, I think I could do 2 weeks standing on my head.

No, you could fly there, and come home and pay your 3000+ dollars to stay in a poopty hotel eating poopty food and that is if you can even get a room in one of these poopty hotels.

I suppose that's fine, I just saw the latest vaccination plan and my demographic will be last in line anyway.

I can't remember if he's wailing on Jeff Farkas or Scott Farkas.

So apparently it's much cheaper to not check into the hotel, and just pay the fine.

I love government.

I was at a Leafs-Penguins game in Pittsburgh a few years ago, just before Christmas.

They had the actor who played Scott Farkas, the actor who played his toadie, and one other guy from the cast at the game.

I didn't really catch what the association was with Pittsburgh, but I still cheered for them.

Hell, most of the movie was shot in Toronto, so there's that.

I registered my parents this week - they are now on the list, and it said they should contact me in the next 2 weeks to book the appointment.

Mississauga-based news outlet, insauga.com, reports that several air passengers on Monday (Feb. 22) were spotted waltzing right out of the arrivals area at YYZ after brief confrontations with police and airport officials.

The outlet reports that Peel Police are not detaining or arresting people who choose to skip their hotel quarantine.

Instead, offenders are reportedly receiving fines in the $820 range, which is less than the cost of the hotel stay itself, which runs anywhere between $300 to $700 a night, depending on the location, for up to three nights.

The Canadian Press on Wednesday (Feb. 24) reported that the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) was “aware of the situation” and looking into it.

According to the Government of Canada's website, any traveller that is in contravention of the Quarantine Act, with respect to their hotel stay, can face fines of up to $3,000.

The guy who played Ralphie's Dad is my favourite character in the movie. 👍

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to stand on my head anymore, Covid or not.

Fly into Buffalo.
Take a cab to a border crossing
walk across, have someone pick you up.

That is the only way I see doing this.

My concern is not even vaccines at this point... although it remains to be seen if we can actually administer them within 2 years. My concern now is that the border will be closed way beyond the summer, and into next year.

... and the border closure thing is utter BS anyway, especially when vaccines are widely rolled out.

Darren McGavin.

I loved him as Carl Kolchak.

He was also in the Natural, and about a zillion other things.

Just curious, why Buffalo? I don't understand why the league would deliberately punish the Leafs?

I wonder if the federal and provincial governments would work out some sort of deal with the NHL - private jets, private bus to sequestered hotel, players not allowed to mingle with public.

That would require cooperation between multiple levels of government in multiple countries and that is something that just isn't possible with government.
