Expect a bounce back performance from Ghost and Prov.

it sure is fun reading about young prospects like Wisdom and Foerster playing with the Phantoms

that loss against Pittsburgh was frustrating, but if we win the next two (which are very winnable) we'll be feeling good

Even if so this team needs a solid 20 minute D-man, Hopefully RH. Not asking too much of course. Any names out there who fit the bill and are actually obtainable?

Defense needs to tighten up. Hope they don't go 0 for everything on the PP either.

Watched the bruins and caps. Super physical playoff type game. Don’t think the flyers are able to bring that as of yet. The pressure on our d would be too much imo. Guess we’ll see Sunday but the teams need To up his game in order to compete with them.

They lost one of their top pairing Dman ( not their fault) but have yet to address it. It is quite evident there is need to replace Niskanen, especially if they want to compete in this division. Maybe it's easier said than done, however that's what the GM gets paid to do, make this team better. Let's hope he is actually working the phones.

Hopefully Mark Friedman has another solid game and stays in the Pens lineup.

Keep Morin on D. Why make this harder than it needs to be.

"Patty" with a breakout game.......at some point.

Ghost will get badly exposed if he is in the top 4 when/if they face either one of those teams. Though as you said the entire D not just Ghost,

I'd like to see them try to convince Travis Hamonic to come east for a couple months to get a run in the playoffs. Vancouver is done for and he's on an expiring contract so it wouldnt cost us a ton. The big issue is the quarantine period by crossing over from Canada.

He's got size, RH side and I think he could calm Provy down for a few months. I think Provy isnt a good pair with Ghost. He seems to take on the personality of his partner and he gets reckless when he is on the ice with Ghost. Either that or he's trying to prove he can be as offensively dynamic at Ghost and it causes problems IMO.

Yeah. I’m very worried they’ll get destroyed vs these
Teams as well as the isles. Further, the forward Corp aren’t exactly physical nor big and will get mauled as well. These issues are what fletch Needs to focus on and address.

It’s probably not a sexy idea but what about a guy like Brandon Montour , move meyers up and him or ghost to the second pair. He would have zero affect on the Seattle draft and Buffalo is sure to be sellers. Any trade is difficult with the cap so tight.

If he’s on an expiring contract, have to take a look.

Bill, thanks for all the details on the Phantoms game. I find it hard to get that info anywhere else.

Konecny is due. I'd like to see him at least be noticeable. Same for Hayes.

Thank you Bill for the Phantoms update! I was really happy to see Morin was not only back on defense but had a strong game. I hope the Flyers leave him there and he can stay healthy and build his game finally. I was also happy to see Tyson Foerster back in the lineup. I really liked that pick by the Flyers and I hope he can stay with the Phantoms this season, and get PP time to hone that great shot he already has.

I'll give TK a pass last game given it was his first game back and he didn't have much practice time. I think he will have a stronger game tonight.

This. Exactly this.

I remember saying this when Niskanen retired, and hearing the Flyers fans say how bad he sucked, how we didn't need him, he was overpaid, had no heart, blah-blah-blah.....

Well, that kind of turned out to be untrue, now didn't it?

Flyers fans are a fickle bunch.

I did enjoy hearing Morin is back at D. You know....maybe he ought to practice there for a few games and see how he does.

Last game, agree, but he hasn't been very good most games this season.

He's not a top pairing guy though, not sure he can handle 20+ minutes a game.

Im also interested to see where he slots in the lineup and if NAK comes back in. IMO his forechecking could have been useful last game.

Maybe we see Patty move down to 4c and Bunny come out.

We don’t need a top pairing guy, we need someone to balance out the D. We can deploy guys situationally, that’s what coaches are paid for

The Bruins piss me off, they have no secondary scoring and their defense is banged up, yet they are still very tough to beat in regulation. The only advantage a team has on them is the shoot-out, well teams other than the Flyers that is ...
