Based on what I am seeing, I'll take Laf, Kakko and Miller on my team versus what is needed to spend to get Eichel. I know he's a center, but it appears that one may be asked for in the trade.

Add Fox to those three as untouchable. Can't believe just how good Fox is in his second season, so calm, poised and sees the ice so well. Second coming of Leetch.

After watching the Caps/B's game, even if we actually made the playoffs we are going out in 4, maybe 5. Be glad for the experience.
To me this season is about the growth of the kids and seeing what we have in the system. So far I like what these kids bring and my sincere hope is that Chytil can become that 2C, I think 1C is asking too much. If Zib gets his head out of his ass, which seems like it is being slowly extracted, would be wonderful to have our 1C back.
What is taking Panarin so long to return? The story is obviously bunk. Is he trying to get his grandparents out of Russia? He loves Mother Russia and wants to return after his NHL career is over, might have burned that bridge as long as Putin is in office.

Saw that Dom Moore was part of the post-game crew until my feed ended. How is he on the broadcast? Always thought he would make a good coach.

Fox is the most Valuable player on the team. #1c and #1rhd hardest and most important positions in hockey.

I said Buffalo will want Laf or KK, Nils, at least 2 first round picks.

Problem is I would think is Buffalo will want a center in return, which we dont have but LA does.

Just because you saw it on a "Rumor Mill" doesnt mean it has any meaning whatsoever. Try a reality check. Those work better.

This site is a Rumor site and I never saw one of Eks rumors come true!!

I want no part of Eichel. Great player but his cap hit to go along with Panarin and Trouba would cripple us. Not to mention we’d lose at least 2 of these young guys due to the cap with those 3 on the books. Chytil has looked good this year and if Zib can turn it around, which I think he will, we’re fine. Maybe try and get Vilardi out of LA or Kempe and hope they can continue to develop.

From the that sucks mill.

When do the Rangers announce that Artemi Parnain will sit out the reminder of the season, due to health and safety concerns? The Rangers are confident Panarin will return next season, when it is safe and appropriate for him to do so.

My guess March 25th. Hope I’m wrong, but....

This. Agreed fully. Anyone expecting a strong playoff run for the Rangers I think have missed listening to JD and the other Ranger's brass. Also, knowing JD's history in St Louis and Columbus, he is a future thinking team development guy. He does not look short term at all. So it will not be surprising to see a lack of moves through this year, unless it benefits the team long term. This is why I think the Eichel situation is a bunch of BS. I like watching the development of Laf and Kakko. Watching Laf command the puck into the O zone last game was pretty sweet to watch.

It has not been reported anywhere that I’m aware of. But, you have to ask yourself, what’s the end game here? Do the Rangers have any idea when he might return? I doubt it. It’s not negative, a word that replaces speculation far too often.

Second this. Also, what they will want to ask for in return would be counter-intuitive to what the JD and the Rangers are doing. I said earlier, I would much rather have Kakko, Laf and Miller all on my team than sacrifice one or two of them just for Eichel. No sense that make to me.

Also, Brooks has nothing else to write about except for the Rangers trading for Eichel. He keeps this going, beating a dead horse.

I think all the trade Zib chatter is retarded. We trade Zib and Ppick up Eichel we are back to looking for a 2C. Eichel has been as bad as Zib this year and there is no way Eichel had a better 2020 than Zib did. Zib was a top 5 player in the game last year. how soon we forget.

Completely true, Gresch.
Also, I believe reports say that Zib has a much better 200' game.
I'm out on Eichel just based on having to give up 2-3 significant pieces of what we have put together. Add in his contract, his deficiencies and his I-run-the-show attitude and I want nowhere near this deal.

I have adored Fox from day 1. But, what I'm seeing this season makes me feel that it's not ridiculous to think he could become a top defenseman league-wide!!!
