Hard no on Fox and Laf. We do have an abundance of wingers though and i could see Kakko being part of the deal. What are we supposed to do with Kakko, Laf, Kreider, Kravtsov, Buch, Panarin? Buch has almost no trade value at this point so he seems like he's sticking around. Not saying the trade is happening but i could live with it. - picklerick
I dont know that Buchnevich has no trade value, but definitely not in a Eichel trade thats for sure

I'd take a 3rd round pick for the guy, way too inconsistent and the money could be spent elsewhere but you're certainly right that he's not going to be a centerpiece of an Eichel trade, he's a thrown in at best.

Starting to think these "big raises" we've been expecting for Buch and Zib aren't going to be as big |

Oof, he's a 40pt winger that now kills penalties and plays on the PP. He's worth more than a 3rd, I'd hope. |

Honestly I can see Zib's camp playing hardball. I doubt they settle for a team friendly deal. They may go the one year deal route hoping he breaks out again to get the big money. |

Yeah he’s looking better than the first pick that stole the puck from him and scored. So you never know. But what I do know is Howden is a bum. - topshelf17

well he's got another year, and next year hopefully is a totally normal hockey season
we'll see how that goes, but I think the chances they sign him ahead of time are over

It wouldn't be hard to understand why. Zib's run last season was otherworldly. He was looking like a Generational talent at points. He had 41 goals in 57 games, (frank)ing unreal. The falloff is staggering but even if he is in the middle of these two extremes he's definitely worth some coin. The Rangers just need to figure out if they'll be the ones paying it. |

I would agree unless he takes a seriously team friendly deal. But you have to imagine he wants as much as possible. It's doubtful he signs for a discount until after the next season is played. |

it's amazing though when yo think about it, coming into the season, we had 13 million in dead money from buyouts...
Tony D's 4.8 million in never never land
Panarin's 11.6 million in a different never neverland
Trouba's 8 million on LTIR
such a large chunk of the salary cap not contributing in any way |

Good, if he is going to get 9 million plus a year I would want to see multiple years of the high end production |

That's the thing, nobody is good or bad. The whole season is just a disaster. Covid is driving this season. |

I was reading, it's why they can't call up players like Morgan Baron right now. They have no cap space |

it's why they are doing all that taxi squad jockeying, trying to accumulate cap space so they can eventually have Barron and/or Kravstov here
