Emotion is fun, fans need reminders that these players care for some reason as well.

Also we have no idea what the Sharks players were saying on the ice.

- Santo_44

Petulance and crying are emotions I guess.

Id prefer that players would wish to show emotion not do it in embarassing fashion.

Perhaps do it while it matters, while still playing the gam

Care to explain?

I'm pretty sure that Babcock didn't win a playoff round

There were at least 7 Leafs players with a better game than Willie the Floater yesterday. He had a decent 1st period and then completely disappeared again
- MaximusAurelius

I mean . . . .it's meant as bait, but it's probably a true statement:

Campbell, Marner, Tavares, Brodie, Rielly, Engvall and Hyman were all probably contributing more to the overall game than Nylander did. But that would still put him in the top-6 fowards, which makes sense.

You should worry about your heroes Biden and Harris locking up minors in cages at the border
- MaximusAurelius

Far from heroes but you might be better served with half an idea of what you’re talking about.

The new administration ended the Trump policy of separating kids from their families at the border in order to put the kids into camps. The current administration has built new facilities to house kids that show up unaccompanied at the border until they can be reunited with their family or placed into an appropriate setting- foster family, etc. These new facilities are run by Human Services not Homeland Security, a policing agency.

These kids need protection when they arrive and the new facilities are well built and they receive medical and social services.

Sorry, Breitbart

He took a team that was very bad and very quickly got them to a 105point+ season.
He was not as bad as a Leafs coach as people on here state he was.

Except it's the exact same facilities used by Trump administration and heavily criticized by Dems.

Babcock did a good job. The fact that he may have been an bumhole is separate. Coaches can be bumholes and maybe they can make it work and maybe they can make it work for a while.

I'd probably agree with that, as well, to be fair. Mikheyev will drive us all mad before the season is over. He is such a good hound - his decisions / angles / lanes are all so good without the puck, but once he gets the puck, his decisions seem to just get worse! His passing so far this year hasn't been as good as last year, and I will admit I don't have much of a read on his shot. So many are taken in close, that you can't tell if there's residual effects from last year's horrible injury or not. Is it all just a terrible run of bad luck resulting in poor confidence, or is there something he'll have to physically work through (or a bit of both)?

They’ve built new facilities. I’m sure there are still kids sitting in Trump camps. What matters is the policy that separates families is ended and kids won’t be punished for showing up with their families. Is that hard to understand?

Mikheyev is doing a lot of things really well, and I think it's just a streak of bad luck. Unlikely to be a 30goal scorer, but like him very much.

I was referring to the Carizzo Springs facilities.
The US immigration system is crazy and inhumane - Dems or Republicans. I just don't understand how anyone can support the US policies in general, in particular when living in a much more developed society like Canada's.

It's funny how Leafs fans on here went from "Babcock is the new Messiah" to hating on the guy like he was a war criminal - just in a few years

I'm curious to see more of Campbell. A great backup plays great 25-30 games in a year, but for whatever reason they just don't have the consistency or physical or mental stamina to play successfully in 45-50 games. McElhinney was a great example of that. Typically speaking the more games he played, the fewer quality starts he would have. But he was rock solid as a backup.

You all may have talked about this last night during the game . . . but what I liked about Campbell's game is how well he controlled the puck. When Carey Price is at his best, he interrupts the offense's ability to gain and control the offensive zone - whether through interrupting shoot-ins, or catching and freezing the puck, or controlling rebounds and keeping the puck close.

Campbell did a really nice job of catching the puck and just stopping the play so Edmonton struggled to gain a lot of long drawn out zone time. There were moments when the puck was moved around well by the Oilers obviously, but when given the chance, I thought Campbell did a really nice job of catching the puck and closing down the momentum.

- Monkeypunk

For me, it seemed like Campbell had a very quiet game. Not flopping around looking for loose change, square to the shooter, standing up more than dropping to his knees the minute the Oilers were in the zone. Is he good enough to be a #1 goalie? Tough to say, possibly - liked the rebound control, liked the glove hand and liked the way his mates feel about him. Great team game by the Leafs, Thornton addition looks solid.

Agree- huge win for Leafs. First shutout of the season for Leafs and Campbell is signed for $1.65M for next year. Like that guy - he'd not a flopper. Looks like his mates like him as well. Nylander was outstanding again as was Marner. Not much mention of Bogosian - but he's been pretty good for a bottom pairing guy. Best troll repellent I've seen in a while.

Bogo has been solid all year

If the people who are earning the big bucks are doing their job, then Mikheyev doesn't have to score.

The team lacked depth and speed on the 3rd and 4th lines. They also have had a tendency towards pretty inconsistent effort on both sides of the puck.

I don't care if Mikheyev doesn't score another goal all year. He is bringing something valuable to this lineup.

I also still believe he needs time to get past that injury. It was pretty severe. How many games did Nylander play like crap after signing the 7 million contract. It was a lot more than people have given Mikheyev after that injury.
