Who’s gonna retire?
- Karine Hains

I think fido is going cray-cray and is now praying on HB that Price retires

but maybe Price is different. he already made over 50M. what is he gonna do with an extra 50M?
if there is one pro athlete ready to walk away, I'd bet on him.
he sure looks like he's ready.

Kovalchuk did it and screwed new jersey. It wouldnt solve cap problems cos we’d take a massive hit no?

I have no idea how that works. but he looks ready, and has been for a while.
to me, It's the most plausible expanation. he's tired of playing hockey, wanna go home.

Just look at Josh Anderson, he returned early from a shoulder injury and that made things worst. Eventually, he had an operation and refused to come back until he felt 100% ready. What did the Jackets do? They traded him because they were questioning his commitment to the team…

I thought it was more because they thought he was too injury-prone... so they really did mention a commitment issue?

- Pat1993

I don't see the issue with a player not wanting to rush things. If I have a grade 2 ankle sprain, why would I want to risk aggravating it until it was healed so I could be sure I wouldnt miss even more games? It might be a different story of it was the cup finals, but Columbus sure as hell didn't make any cup finals recently, not the habs will either.

Personally I think he's stressed for family or someone with COVID running around and it s affecting his ability to focus. He was decent in last years playoffs, maybe a family member or someone got sick since.

aww com'on with the excuses. he also lost his dogs we know.

this happens every year for the past 3-4 years. normally in Oct or Nov. just after spending the summer home, with the family, fishing, horse back riding....
there was no covid 3-4 years ago.

I'm not dreaming. I'm just saying he looks like he's ready to retire. that would explain lots of things that happened over the past few years.

maybe price was never that great, aside from one magical season, and this is who he is.

looking at the numbers, his play has been trending this way the last few years. maybe they have to do what Q did in florida and just ride allen as the starter. sucks but it is what it is.

tho, riding allen as a starter comes with risk if past history is an indiccation
