In a full season, Suzuki would be on pace for 20 goals + 40 assists, not bad for a 21 year old |

Danault on the other hand is on pace for 0 goals over pretty much any period of time. We should start him in overtime |

The 2021 version of the guy is the o zone diet version of him which was already pretty damn light. I'm just glad it happened before the Habs signed him rather than after |

Oh for sure about the extension.... who gets the start Tuesday? Allen looked good enough (pretty solid) once again |

In 3 on 3 you need to start guys like Suzuki, Bryon and Petry, this team has like 6 overtime/shootout loss and if we had 4 more points from those games we would have been in a much better position. Just like Suzuki said we are playing not to lose so need to get out of that funk now |

I'm in the camp you force Price to figure it out and keep giving him the net on the split you predetermined. I'm in that camp because they HAVE to. And while he's let in some unacceptable goals he's not the only issue with the team but for them to go anywhere or be anything it probably needs to be on his back so you force him to figure it out or get dummied trying |

I'm 100% sure that Price gets the nod but I'm in the camp of wanting to make the playoffs, so i'd go with Allen... but I understand that a new coach probably won't want to draw that kind of line in the sand a couple of days on the job, so Price it will be... but for how long? |

That goes back to my "they HAVE to" point. Allen is doing great but hasn't shown in his career that he's that guy when given the majority of starts but he may be the best backup in the league which might help keep the Habs in it while Price figures it out. Price has five years after this season left on his deal so they've got to get him right - people saying trade Price miss the catch 22 that if he isn't playing well and the Habs don't want him, nobody else would but if he's playing well he's the Habs key to success in which case they wouldn't trade him. They play Price because they HAVE to in my opinion |

I have noticed the Habs tend to give up the first goal when Allen is in net and tend to lose close margin games. There are a lot of issues they are facing than just goaltending at this point |

That's true. Allen has been great, no two ways about it but they're still losing those close low scoring games. Faceoffs, penalty kill, powerplay and the way they play 3 on 3 overtime have absolutely killed the Haba this year, regardless of the goaltending |

The sooner Ducharme makes that decision, the sooner he may become an NHL coach. If he makes bad decisions and this team fail to make the playoffs and does not much once in there, it could be the end of his career in the NHL as soon as it started. |

That being said though we need a scorer with a killer instinct, Perry was that guy likely 10 years ago, not sure if Anderson and Toffoli are it but need them to do more as well as our centres. Also the Jets lineup have not changed that much since last year the fact that we struggled against them in the 2 games is concerning

That’s why I said killer instinct, looking for them and the veterans to score when it matters most. Of coz Price needs to step it up big time as well. |
