Jets start OT wiith 3 forwards. much more talented than ours. my guess is DD wants Danault and Armia to shot them down and then reply with Suzuki and Toffoli. - fidopro
Just put suzuki and toffoli out to start. Why are you trying to shut someone down in 3 on 3 OT. It’s not going to happen and Danault will provide nothing offensively. |

get use to it Pat. Habs have a team to play 5x5.
in OT (regular season) they will lose a lot more often than not. - fidopro
not saying it would've changed anything but the players he put on the ice makes it sound like he was trying "not to lose" rather than going for the W (what was often reproached to Clode)

Cool. So nothing really has changed for the Habs in OT between Ducharme and Julien.
Why is Danault & Armia the forwards to start OT? Just do not get it. - Habsolute009
for getting possession, but danault, the faceoff guy, lost it.
it was a way better performance though, they play like that every game and they will win much more than they've been winning lately. I find Drouin is playing really well since a couple of games, makes good defensive plays and hiss passes are tape to tape every time. |

They ain't gonna win every game, but if they play like this in the games they lose, I am OK with that.
Not saying I want them to lose, but this is a lot better than the poopshows of late. |

most coaches go for the FO win with their best FO guy and change em quick if they win the draw.
its how Ot has evolved. mainly because coaches by nature are conservative lumps. |

lets hope he realizes it too
but again, Habs must play 5x5 hockey. otherwise they're dead. they are the best team in the league at 5x5. |

the funniest is ottawa's coach, he spends the night with one hand pulling is mask away so he can speak "freely". really efficient to wear a mask except when you are screaming at people... |

proposed a trade in the pool, thought you were looking for a good goalie, i'm looking for a high caliber forward. what do you think? |

being conservative with 3 on 3 hockey will come bite you in the ass more often than not though, it's way harder to defend consistently

Say what you want about 5 on 5...took a fluke from Suzuki to tie it. 41 shots and Helleybuck wasn't nervous. Just need to get to pond hockey to beat them. |

there was not a lot of chances on either side. romanov caught two posts. gallagher had a good chance too. it was a tight game, thought they defended well and had an opportunity to win. limited the jets to under 20 shots even with 3 PKs. they have to stop taking stupid penalties though. |

I try
it's frustrating but they did get a point out of it at least, and it was after all a significant step towards having more consistency in their play, compared to last game |

now the big question for Ducharme: does he go with Allen again on Tuesday? I feel he kinda has to |

This shouldn’t even need to be debated. Allen gets the start as far as I’m concerned. He’s played significantly better then Price all year. |

agreed, I consider it a no-brainer as well. but I guess it's an important question for the new coach, since Price is still technically his #1 goalie, and he'll want to help him out with getting his poop together rather than making his confidence even more fragile... but I think I heard the team is giving Price a "break"? probably the best thing to do right now

No. I meant the the physical goal object (net) ain't gonna fight back at him like a player would if he to go pushing a player around like he pushed that goal object (net).
EDIT: just noticed "and" instead of "ain't" in my original post.
