JB being a inexperienced GM has to continually make strides and get better. Green has shown that he has stalled and isn't growing right now, so he should go. JB could show at the TDL and in the off season that he has grown also, otherwise he can GTFO as well. - manvanfan
Don't forget...once we ditch the sh!tty new uniforms we'll start winning.

Get rid of Schmidt, play Rathbone (for next year) - Pacificgem
Talk to your boy Nucker, he says he is real good.
Nucker is the worst talent assessor i have seen.
Poor guy. |

Is it really as simple as just moving the same guys around the lineup! Green should absolutely be fired if this is the case.
My counter proposal is just keep going with what worked in the past and let the guys play through it. - 1970vintage
Green is so set on certain things though, no matter how he works it, the lack of chemistry throughout the line up shows nightly.
I don't have a problem letting what worked in the past continue to fight through it but the team has changed a lot and the only thing that was really there in the past was the lotto line. Every other line or pairing has changed from last season and Green won't dare go back to what did work last season with the rest of the players. |

I got nothing, just like Green. Might as well put Petey with Beagle and Gaudette, Sutter with Horvat and Hoglander, Virtanen with Rousel and Miller and Boeser with Pearson and MacEwan.
No matter how stupid Intey and make it look there’s some combos we’ve seen out there... |

It wasn’t me - Pacificgem
It might have been me. I post a lot of stuff that I delete, so that I don't offend everybody.
I dislike Schmidt, he is like an overpaid 6 million dollar free agent signing, but, the team actually paid a 3rd round draft pick for.
It is funny that some of the fellas who complain about about the Benning signings, think this is an acceptable trade...that also involved a draft pick..
Shame on them.

I thought it was a good trade, but I never really watched him play. Even in the playoffs last year, I couldn’t have told you what number he wore. I’m not ready to put him on my hit list. The one thing I will say about this years collection of poopty d compared to last years poopty d, they can all actually shoot the puck, which is a nice change.
Also, I tried quoting a post of yours earlier today and when I did it came up blank, and when I went back it was gone. |

The secondary scoring of Leivo, Gaudette, Virtanen has dried up COMPLETELY.
Green is set. If I were Benning, i'd take certain players out of play of Green. Force him into a different line up. |

oooh tempting....what is the bet? A decent bottle of wine? lol
Tough call as Aquilini would look like a clown now firing Benning after his vote of confidence but that might not extend to the off-season...curious... - LordHumungous
I don’t know, the same as usual. $10 to someone who needs it more than we do. |

That is one of my complaints about the coaching is that most of plays are designed that the shot is coming from the point or the deep slot. I don't think Hughes or Myers have a great shot. It is an average shot and that is why I think they need a better plan.

Hughes for sure doesn’t have a rocket, but he’s good at getting it through. But everyone has the ability to hit the top corner from the blue line, and we couldn’t say that last year. |

Unless there is a really good screen or a good tip. The chance of scoring from above the circles is extremely low. I was just reading an article saying that David Pastrnak over the past 3 seasons has taken 274 shots from the "dead zone" and hasn't scored a single goal from it.

He wanted to walk away from Tanev and Markstom? I find that hard to believe.
Not to defend Green, he’s in over his head, but I don’t think that his boss has done him any favours. |
