What is Clarke specifically teaching him that he's not doing?
- Pacificgem

Oh I'm just venting. As you know it takes years for even a top level goalie to get results from a new goalie coach. Took Markstrom awhile to warm to Clarke as well but there is no way we have time to nurture Holtby for 5 years. I just like to blame goalies lol.

But Holtby has been worse than expected. Is what it is.

Have to do something to get younger people to give a damn about the league

For old white men, sure

I actually like playing the sport, it’s just tough to watch on tv at that pace. Especially with our attention spans getting shorter every year.

But I’ve been told the stadium experience is good so I making a stadium like that in that location is a great idea.

lol

Everytime the GF and I travel to the States we try to hit up live major league games...they are great.

We didn't venture to Oakland when were in San Fran we were just told to stay away from it...kind of a dump much like San Fran is becoming.

Don't get me wrong the attractions in San Fran were great and the Giants/Dodgers games we watched, but the city itself and the downtown core are pretty bad...like East hastings X10 lol.

But Alcatraz, the Pier, Seafood, Napa, Golden Gate Park, and the Redwoods were all very worth the trip...

If you ever have a chance to hit Chavez Ravine in LA I highly recommend it. The fans are great.

Wrigley Field is my favourite ever baseball experience. Went to a few while I was living there. Got to hit it while Harry Carey was still alive and singing "Take me out to the ball game" half corked during the 7th inning stretch.

I'll put it on the list thx. but with the plandemic still in full swing probably won't be flying to the states anytime soon.

The bucket list of course is to hit Wrigley and Fenway and few others. That's a great experience you were there for Harry Carey.

But really the next vacation will probably be somewhere warm if we can ever fly again lol

Same.
Had friends come over last night and I turned the game off after the 2nd period.
Felt like I could somehow see where the game was going.
Beautiful day here and off for a swim at the beach.

Enjoy the day.

Gas on the south island went up to 1:44.99 this week and now mortgage rates are starting to raise.

TD Canada Trust was the first mega-bank to react Friday with a one-quarter point boost to its “special” 5-year fixed rates. At 2.24 per cent, its uninsured 5-year fixed is now the highest it’s been since September. Other major banks should be right on TD’s coattails.

Loved that place, Harry Carey coming out on the boardwalks and singing during the 7th inning stretch.

Best memory was at the Big Owe though cuz the Hawk pointed at me and the a ball to me.

Nice, I got to see him play in both the Big O as an Expo and Wrigley as a Cub. He was one of my favourite players back then.

i got to see a game at wrigley field with him as well. i'm not a baseball fan at all so we stayed just long enough to watch him/everybody sing.

saw an As game as well. the best part of the night was going to a bar a few blocks away after the game. seriously fun experience but wow did we look out of place.

Same.

We had family friends in Downer's Grove. We'd visit in the summer and spend a couple weeks in the Chicago area. Great city!
