Kinda? Varlamov had a bad game. He’s had a few this season. It’s ok he has been great for the most part but he was the difference maker not in a good way tonight.

Letang is a great player but I hate the guy so (frank)ing much I wouldn’t want him on the islanders. My hate supersedes wanting him on my team. That’s how much I dislike him I always have. I would rather lose without him

On the bright side we did jump the flyers in the standings and are tied with Boston. Varly had a rough game the first letang goal was very soft. And I thought the ot goal was soft also. Hopefully sorokin does better than varley did tonight

Yeah it is. I get the whole hate the player but love him on your team mantra it doesn’t apply to letang for me. The guy (frank)ing dives and flops all over the ice every, single, game. He whines to the refs non stop and just whines constantly. He’s the epitome of why I hate the Penguins as much as I do. He depicts them perfectly.

Assuming Sorokin plays tomorrow, I think a strong performance should earn him the start on Tuesday as well. Varlamov has at times been stellar this year, but there does at times seem to be a Halak-like inconsistency with him as though he tires after a few starts. He's a fine number one goalie to have, but Sorokin is the future here and if they can get him acclimated in time for the playoffs, it would be to our benefit. The kid needs to get more playing time in. May as well give him a few consecutive starts

We will disagree. Results are the biz and he has been a huge part of their results/success. We can agree to disagree on that. I get the hate. I just respect the talent and game he brings.

Thought there was a couple weird bounce knuckle ball type goals but he made a few great saves tonight. This season he’s been great probs 2nd over all in the league.
