I don’t watch Hockey anymore but I checked the standings out of boredom and saw the Oil are second in the division and 3rd in the league.
Are they actually good this year or just lucky and its a McD/LD show and thats about it ? |

McDavid and Draisaitl are going off as per usual, but the Oilers are getting secondary scoring from both the bottom 6 and the blue line. Their power play is solid, and they’ve been passing the eye test.
Much of this certainly has to do with their division and quality of competition, but yeah, they ain’t that bad this year. |

Yamo and Pulju are emerging as scoring wingers. Nurse and Bouchard are having solid seasons. |
