Those lines could be scary for the Pens bottom 6 matchups. Caps have last change.

Not worried at all.

How’s Bellerive’s numbers in the AHL? Not one mention about his production there. Currie is a new face this year I think.

I dont worry about much, certainly not that, just think it has the potential to make things difficult for Pens this eve. In saying that, those lines could be a disaster as well haha...we'll see what happens.

He has 2 goals in 3 games, one of which on PP, -1, 6 penalty mins.

Curry has 2 goals in 3 games, both are on PP and 2 penalty mins

EDIT: so both probably better than Janko haha

They just haven't played enough to talk about their stats. Bellerieve reportedly came into camp notably stronger and faster. I wonder if Sully was just sending a message or if he might really consider a change.

The less things we need to trade for the better. I’m of the mind that it’s imperative that Bellerieve get a look for the other bottom 6 center to determine if we need to go buy a 4C or not.

Madden on Spittin Chickletts today. Feels Malkin should have been traded 2 years ago.

Given that he’s wanted to trade Malkin up until the point we won the Cup in 2015-2016, I am shocked that he’s happily jumped back onto beating that drum now that the opportunity has presented itself.

Not really news. He felt they should have traded everyone older but Crosby and reset the roster.

He also loves to attack popular players.

From a rebuild/intellectual stance, he's not wrong that the smart play would be to move on from Malkin. Him retiring as a Pen is a heart choice, one I'll gladly make.

He actually went on a tear before the covid stoppage last season and had 26 points in the last 26 games. He came to play this year again. He had 2 goals in the first 3 games. He has been playing on the 3rd line, but he is definitely noticeable.

My friend stated, much like Tojo, that Bellerive came back a lot stronger and faster compared to last year.

I knew he was scoring more, but not that much. Pretty impressive considering it seemed he rarely got top 6 time. Think he's ready for a shot?

I believe so. He definitely has a non-stop motor. He is fast, and he did well on the forecheck he could be a great 4th line center option. Which honestly maybe Jankowski will play better as a winger.

I have zero hope Sullivan will give him a jersey. He won the cup by sprinkling in young hungry guys, but has gone "experienced" vet ever since.

He obviously just goes with what he's familiar with. And he was familiar with the young kids when he was up here. So basically that's that haha.

If Bylsma ever had called up Anton Zlobin he’d still be coach here.

No changes in lineup. It’s prob as mentioned above. Sully didn’t play the kids because he thought youth was good. He was familiar with them, not no more youth.

Based on Sullys comments, I don't think he was pleased with this roster. Really had no choice but to run with the current 4th and see if something could work. Bellerive and others will definitely get their shot.

If they don't find a center, I really don't see how they can put McCann back at wing when he comes back.
