Carolina is beating the Bolts at their own game : good team defense and an opportunistic counterattack. Combined with timely solid goaltending, the Canes are riding a PDO wave.

I wonder how long it will take the Bolts to finally break through and score. LOL.

Mike, on your McDonagh comment, I also feel on D we will protect Hedman, Sergachev and Cernak. McDonagh is great but we will need to shed salary next year and he is getting old compared to Sergachev and Cernak. Unless I completely mis-understand the cap bolts will need to lose 17 mil in celery as no major players (cost wise) are ufa and the 17 mil in ltir will be gone. Plus filling the holes left after the purge. Of course I was shocked that we kept it together this year for the most part. Who knows?
