Him or Hunter Henry please

But if I were Beane I would want to lock up an edge rusher first

My priority list for Free Agency and the draft is:

Edge Rusher
CB 2
TE
Field Stretching WR
OL Depth

Good job Kerry, Tim, Ralph and Kevyn! You all should be very, very proud.

From The Athletic -
Ranking the 5 worst teams in the league...
#1 Worst - Buffalo Sabres, Ten straight losses, no end in sight, no Jack Eichel for at least a few games and maybe more, no help coming from anywhere and no apparent plan from anyone to make it better. No hope. And certainly nothing I can sell to Sabres fans to make it better. I’m not sure when the Sabres will win anything again

2 - Ottawa Senators
3 - Detroit Red Wings, won 1 game in last 5
4 - Anaheim Ducks, The week opened with a wild 6-5 OT win over the Kings, but the Ducks followed that with three straight losses by a combined score of 14-2
5 - New Jersey Devils, They’ve lost four straight, nine of their last 10, and 12 of 14. They get to play the Sabres tomorrow and if the Department of Player Safety really wanted to make Tom Wilson pay, they’d force him to watch that entire game start-to-finish.

Some good stuff there.

Everywhere you go, the once proud Buffalo Sabres have earned the right to be openly laughed at and mocked.

SELL THE GD TEAM

So #Sabres center Cody Eakin, who has scored one goal in 26 games this season, an empty-netter, will likely be a healthy scratch tonight. Another who is massively underachieving.

The #chiefs are restructuring Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce & Chris Jones per source. Those restructures will free up space to where KC should have around 20 million in space at the start of the new league year.
@AlbertBreer
was first to mention this was in the works.

Define "better"

His floor is higher and his ceiling is lower. He's a steady larry and Ralph loves that

To fix the culture and the image yes. To fix the little things like line combos and who should and shouldn't be playing.... me or you could do a better job. Garth Pino could do a better frankin job.

A lot of players are of the age to where their contracts can be reworked to push money around. Contracts are like a water bed in the NFL. In the NHL, they're a slab of concrete.

Mahomes just signed his deal

It's funny

I don't want to kick the can down the road too much, BUT because of the amount of talent that has been cut and the age of the guys who contracts and get pushed down the road I am all for making space to sign the right guy.

Don't overspend for someone decent, it has to be for someone really good

He can easily be put on the 4th line to play limited minutes with other Larry's, and to feature him on the PK.

I have a hard time believing the 'clamoring' take, but if Petey's right and they can get rid of him for literally anything, it will be a massive win.

Keep Olofsson for the future to be Ales Kotalik of the 20's. And play him on the third (frank)ing line where he belongs. With a center that isn't a god damn black hole.

Sabres top line of
Hall-Eichel-Reinhart has earned the 31st position in a ranking of 31 top lines around the league based on goal differential.

Nice job there Ralph! Your system is working wonders! Hold steadfast to it, don't let anyone tell you it isn't working!

It is kinda funny, but eventually that money needs to be paid. Every team is looking for ways to kick the can down the road because of this year. Which means more bad FA markets, until these players with restructured, backloaded contracts start falling off.

He's playable in the sense that he has 2 legs and all of the necessary hockey equipment to play, but unless a team is looking to replace Matt D'Agostini on their taxi squad, he's not going to be an upgrade

Reinhart is Reinhart, and the other two can't score to save their family's lives. It's impressive, really. Eichel was all sorts of damaged. I don't know what Hall's excuse is, but one thing I do know is that if Eichel was at the top of his game, Hall would look a whole lot better.

He's a fantastic buy low candidate. Like the anti-Skinner. Capitalize. Because Hall's, like Skinner's, numbers are excellent. Except for the whole goal scoring thing.

Staal will most likely be gone but Olofsson with a Staal type on the third line would be wonderful. (Under a new coach obviously)
