That's a very good point đź‘Ť

Similar to deshawn watson

Only certain teams have cap space and/ early picks.

The dolphins have the 3rd and tua. Cap space too.

- Boss34

this summer we can trade him to any team

next summer we cant

hence the topic of the day

If you even thought of doing it, you do it in the offseason and get as many teams as you can involved. I would want Anaheim in there to, more teams the better.
- Buff36

Good points.

Especially if eichel is out for the year.

You look at the islanders for a hopeful blueprint.

I've felt that way about many players over the years

Dom
Brad may
Don beebe
Ror (kinda)
Even bogo to some degree...

Many more.

Jack's not on that list. You described him well earlier in your post.

they thought playoffs was almost a lock and if things went their way, competing for a cup

It’s Jack’s fault we took Sam over Leon ?

It’s his fault that the organization had a hard on for Risto and didn’t trade him for Hall in 2015 or Ehlers in 2018 ?

Jack forced Murray to take Nylander over Sergachev/Chychryn/McAvoy ?

Jack’s fault that the coaches blow and that Dahlin hasn’t reached his potential ?

Jack’s fault that Cozens the ideal 2C is less than 20 games into his career and they haven’t found a replacement for ROR since they traded him ?

Jack is a finalist for the Hart last year and maybe even wins it if Ullmark played like this last year.

he reminds me a lot of former bills rb greg bell

bell played on some bad bills teams but he got you the 60 plus yards a game
got you that 4.1 yards per carry when you were the only offense

then bell goes to the rams and 1200 yards one year
1100 and change the next

and 31 rushing td's over those 2 years and 80 yards a game in his 4 playoff games

jack didn't have the number leon, nate, mcdavid, pastrnak or panarin had

such a homer post

he was 10th in scoring

leon had 32 more points in a shortened season

Calgary has some nice pieces to. I don't know how many pages back, but there was a trade suggestion made by a Calgary blogger that probably would make me think hard about it
Calgary: Eichel
Buffalo: Monahan Anderson Ruzicka Pelletier 1st and a 2nd.
Not saying I would do it, but those are some decent pieces

Hahahahhaaha. Shocking. A waitress, rink manager and soccer executive don’t know how to fix a nhl team?

You think Duds is ready to tell Kim what she doesn’t know.... lol

Leon played with McDavid for half that season.

Eichel played with Olofsson.

Context is important.

How many goals did the Sabres score last year that Eichel didn’t have a point on ? Maybe 30% of the goals ?

It’s like saying Deshaun Watson was the reason why the Texans sucked last year despite having the 32 ranked defence, 32 ranked rushing offence, and a bunch of #3 WR’s at best to throw the ball too yet still had a top 20 passing season of all time.

My god no wonder Buffaluck exists

the gut was to go low this season on their payroll

getting hall changed their direction, but they had to plans to upgrade the rest of the roster

if you moved on from hutton and okposo during the offseason

and retained pilut

and got that starting goalie and had a decent head coach, we may be in a different position

instead we are leaning on sheahan, irwin and hutton and wonder why we are dead last

You're neglecting to mention one small, tiny very important aspect of the Islanders 'blueprint', and his name is Matthew Barzal.

He was already on the Islanders and coming off an 85 point rookie season when Tavares left for the Leafs.

The Sabres would have nothing resembling that already on the team, which means you'd have to bring that back in a trade. Not somebody who might be that player someday. Somebody who already is that player.

Do you really trust Sabres management to make a deal that would bring back that kind of player in a quality return needed for Eichel?

Obviously, we're going to lose 5-2 tonight, but I really just hope to see someone beat the living crap out of ZAR and Ruhwedel for the hits the other night. I want someone to smash their faces into a bloody pulp. That's all. I'm not asking for much. Lets see if it happens.

At this point I’d just like a real head coach.

I’d love a new structure, starting with a president but I don’t think the Pegula lifestyle will allow that.

And probably won’t allow for a real coach either.

Maybe a few more 5-2 losses, barely any fans showing up and some chicken bones tossed on the ice will change their minds.
