and how many playoff games has Jack played?

he is not this rosey kid some of you portray in the locker room

- homiedclown

I can tell he’s a cork soaker just by looking at his body language.

Listen to his Spittin chicklets interviews and you can tell he’s a typical Boston snob.

Does that rub people the wrong way and is that a potential issue in the lockerroom ? Sure.

But at his best there are maybe 5 Centers I take in the league over him right now. Maybe not even 5

This. You don't trade him, period. You WILL lose the trade.

you don't know that

the team is in a position where they donb't have to trade him

that does not mean they can't listen to what's out there

I posed this question the other day. Name the last time a young star with no baggage was traded and the team that traded him won the trade. It isn't just a matter of finding a dumb gm. You have to find a dumb gm with assets that would make up for his loss. In theory it would be players (multiple) drafted in the last 3 years that are can't-miss stars. How many teams have those assets AND a dumb gm?

and if the kings, rangers, sens or another team wants to overpay big time

consider the offer

I mean we traded hall of famers like dom and oj before and life went on

if there is no decent offers, you don't trade him, but after this summer your not going to be able to take offers from any team

I think briere's 3 year run here was better then what we have seen from eichel, we are just so frustrated with the sabres that we can't see the light

- homiedclown

This is where I agree. You have to listen to everything. If the offer makes you go, “well duh”, then you have to do it.

If not you keep him.

But regardless of jack, I think there are MUCH larger, systemic, problems in Hockey Heaven.

You can swap players in and out until we are blue in the face and we have. It won’t change anything...

When examining the the organization, any organization that has been this bad, this long... you must start at the top...

Ownership - do they have the resources to put towards the team? - yes. Have they thrown money around? - yes. Have they been a bit more “hands on” owners? -yes Has it worked?- no

President- who have the presidents been. Are they successful, experienced, hockey focused people? - no

GM- have we hired experienced GMs? - no. Have we hired up and coming gm’s?- yes. Have we pushed for a change in plan from our GMs mid plan?- yes.

Full stop.... why examine further... the answer is pretty damn simple...

Fix the top. Let the “fix” examine further...

Go find a president.

What’s the latest on Cozens?
- lulags

Has imposing size, defensive acumen and offensive ability. Likes to play a physical game. Can produce plenty of offense as well as overpower opponents at lower levels. Can play all three forward positions. The jury is still out on his long-range scoring output at the National Hockey League level, and he may have to settle for third-line duties. Must continue to fill out his frame. Is inconsistent on offense in the pros.

I’m defending the player.

The “team” is the reason we suck. Not Jack Eichel

You should open your mind a bit. Seems like the "team" leader could be at fault.

I'm definitely open to jack being awesome, and the management/ coaching sucks.

This is an excellent post.

Problem is, do the Sabres take a little less than full stat value? This really just isnt working.

I'd want : at least 1 of these top guys: obviously more:
Hughes
Byfield
Tkachuk, Brady
Dach
Laferierre
Petterrsson

Someone with "star" potential, already....

You gotta get way more than that. The number of pieces is really irrelevant. Remember that Mckee was just drafted and was essentially a lottery ticket. Peca was not regarded as a super prospect. We can't get back question marks if we trade a top center entering his prime.

If you even thought of doing it, you do it in the offseason and get as many teams as you can involved. I would want Anaheim in there to, more teams the better.

Patty Kane’s last few years may have been his best and the Blackhawks have done nothing.

Yet when they had a good team he was a huge part of bringing the city of Chicago 3 cups.

Amazing how that works.

That's a very good point 👍

Similar to deshawn watson

Only certain teams have cap space and/ early picks.

The dolphins have the 3rd and tua. Cap space too.
