I’d even take less
Good AHL goalie, but doesn’t look like he should be in the NHL

freidman said colorado is interested in johansson...

yes...please...pretty please?

- Michael Pachla

Surprised me to hear it, but they are dealing with injuries too. Keeping a goalie on the taxi squad is a nuisance.

Glady take any pick for him. Literally any.

If Jefferson was played in the wrong spot to be successful- that’s STILL on McBeane in general

And we didn’t NEED all those Def linemen
Was just an utterly dumb way to spend & waste so much Cap
Don’t need 5 DTs rotating, etc

- jdfitz77

How did he know Phillips knee would good? He took insurance on that. Thats smart. He didnt know what zimmer would bring

Did it turn out.....no. But he played it safe

Judge him by his peers not if he hits every pick or FA. Hes been one of the best GM’s since he got the job

Jefferson was played out of position because Star opted out, and Coach's make that call not Beane, and the Bill's have rotated Dline like that since McDermott came here, that's how they run there defense
- Buff36

We had plenty of other DTs to fill in for Star
Butler, Olivier, Phillips, Zimmer
Epenesa could slide inside on pass downs

Even if Jefferson was played at DE, we also had:
Hughes, Addison, Epenesa, Johnson, Murphy, etc

No matter how those guys were played,
there would ALWAYS be way too much $$$ on the sidelines each play
It’s STUPID

Bottom line:
The D-line was not good last year
And we spent the most in the league on it

If u can’t realize that was a failure,
then idk what else to tell ya

Well that’s not true
Plenty of others like them
Not everyone lives & dies by the Sabres like most of the clowns on here

There’s A LOT more Bills fans than Sabres

And it’s not like i “love” the job they’ve done with the Sabres
They’ve obviously taken some swings & misses
Just think the hate goes overboard,
especially here

- jdfitz77

Seems about right to me. They’ve been awful owners of this team. Can’t sell it fast enough, although it’s unlikely to happen.

Epenesa played at 260 this year, so no he couldn't, Zimmer was a practice squad guy who was brought up half way through the year, Jefferson was going back and forth and Phillips was coming of a major knee injury. And that's how Frazier and McDermott run there Defense they rotate there Dline, Addison and Jefferson were very good for there prior teams before coming here, it didn't work out.
