I have definitely been on the jack is hurt bandwagon

But for the right offer. I would move him. If someone doesn’t over pay. I keep him

Keep jack. Trade everyone else not named Dahlin, Cozens, Borgen, Joker...

Bring me BBQ Bruce! Send Ralph upstairs to finish his contract and Kim back to the yacht...

Ralph. Adams. BBQ.

It helps, but it takes time to kick in and repay the current debt. Once the revenue fully recovers, I think they look at the previous 2 seasons to establish the cap. I think that already pushes you out 4 years. Most of the articles I've read don't expect a significant cap increase in the next 6 years.

That should make contract negotiations interesting... the grigs and Tage deals can’t be recurring themes! Also, no room for Hall! And you probably aren’t moving skinner or Okposo (unless he gets raging jock itch and goes to ltir).

It's all very interesting. For all the comparables and conventional logic on Ullmark's next deal, it's possible none of it really applies now and the market is much softer than even last year.

I’ll keep the train rolling....

1- I can agree on the small trade he has orchestrated. But I am reluctant due to the lack of experience in that front office. Coupled with the contracts to Gus and Tage, it’s enough to make one uneasy when the complexities of the bigger trades can get crazy.

2- I see and concede the point. It is probably just Bruce trying to get his name out there. Which is fine, I guess. Hell, maybe there is a path to Ralph heading upstairs and Bruce coming in and that’s where the comment comes from. Who knows with this organization. But I guess I’d take Ralph, Adams, BBQ Bruce. Over Kim, Adams, Ralph... again, Ralph is or was, likable, he has the pegs hoodwinked and they don’t want to pay him not to coach. So pay him to president, get him away from on ice. Let him re-synergize the fan base while distancing Kim... I’d take that through his contract and revisit next off season.

3- with Ullmark showing two years of injury. It should be a really strong 1b that’s brought in. Someone that can handle the workload for a month if Ullmark goes down. I want to see Ullmark here. I like him. You just need stronger behind him.

Not my argument, but I propose we do all arguments in Point/Counterpoint style. It seems to work very well.

They were talking about this yesterday. Once Levonte David re-signed in Tampa for $12.5 million a year, Milano's FA value was going to take a bit of a hit.

IMO this year 11 was his market value.

You are going to see a lot of deals where you think, wow thats a great deal.
A lot of backloaded deals as well.

Ugh why cant the NHL adopt this policy of a cap structure.

It would make this sport so GD exciting.

Trades cant be made basically this year and next because its impossible because every deal has to be money in money out.

Every single multi year deal signed this year is going to be heavily backloaded.

Everyone banking the cap goes up 10-15 per year the next two years.
