He thinks we need face punchers but we don't... we just need a coach with a system that benefits the players we have. Or keep Ralph and completely restructure this whole team to be more boring than the 2003 Devils.

I know what Boss thinks, he makes it clear every day. But what's the need for the insults

I mean you guys can do whatever. I've called him out a bunch too. And it's more general. We have enough misery to deal with on this god forsaken team. Don't understand why the personal insults are really necessary. Point them at our poopty coach and our poopty owners.

@RapSheet

#Chiefs LT Eric Fisher announced on Instagram that he’s been released. The team is also releasing OT Mitchell Schwartz, source said. Both tackles out in KC.

Friedman repeated this about 20 minutes ago.

I'd suggest you guys listen to Friedman's segment. It's more than your standard 'who's on the market'. He gets into the Sabres long term view.

Interesting listen... couple thoughts...

1- Kevyn calling around, how much faith do you have in Adams making any decent sized moves and not getting fleeced?

2- no mention of coaching until the end and Elliot kinda bags on Bruce. Is Elliott not watching the train wreck that is Ralph.

3- interesting on Johansson. Play 30 games or you are a free agent. So, he’s probably gone... does that leave us with no goalies signed for next year? Adams should be looking to add...

I want a winning team 1st and foremost.

The Sabres have been soft and boring for years.

1.Win
2.play exciting hockey
3.both

I've rarely mentioned this, but I'm a season ticket holder:

Im looking for exciting hockey = winning , hitting, fighting, speed , skill and scoring.

The facepunchers/ win with scoring/ get em on the pp poster guys are taking victory laps. For a silky soft 31st place full of boring hitless, flightless winningless hockey.

I appreciate our banter. I never leave with a sense of animosity. Maybe it's because we've built a solid rapport.

Aside from your jeffery S. issue's and your 2nd tank denials, you've proven to be a solid respected poster . 😉

“Putting off firing Krueger may save the Pegulas money, but the damage it brings to the franchise may be impossible to repair.”

I don’t think something can be more summed up as a “Pegula move” than this.

The cost of firing Ralph now vs. the cost of damage to the franchise... fans in the stands is going to be awfully interesting...

I can agree with this. Just make it exciting. Be tough to play against. Stand up for your teammates. Play like a freaking TEAM! I’ve seen more battle in some beer league teams.

Drury/Briere/Vanek/Roy/Afinegenov.

That team must have been awful with that core.

Tokarski is signed, and the required expansion draft exposure. UPL is signed. Goaltending is one of his big decisions to make.

I think he re-ups Ullmark but he NEEDS to add a 1b. This isn’t the first injury for Ullmark, is it?

I’m not sure who the 1b is. But Adams has some work to do

And....

Miller
Campbell
Hecht
Numminen
Dumont
Kotalik

Much deeper talent level and way more heart on that team than this. That team wasn't soft. They had moxie, character.

He missed some time last year as well. Definite questions on his durability. We'll see. If KA won't give him a legit starter's deal, I think he's best served testing the UFA market.

I'm starting to worry about eichel's "durability " issues.
Wonder if/when it affects his trade value.

Eichel sure isnt a sam " show up to work" reinhart type player...

I'll respond point counter-point style.

1. There's really not much data here, other than assumptions. You have one trade, Staal for Johansson, which was a great piece of business. And the gamble with Kahun, which seems to have been correct. So it's hard to say yes I trust him or not I don't. The rubber meets the road when he starts moving real players on this team.

2. I wouldn't consider it bagging. But he echoed a point (sorta) that I made yesterday. A coach isn't going to infer that he's going to be the coach of the Sabres before Ralph is fired, or even before he's been named coach. Why BBQ said he was interested in Sabres games is a little weird, though. Maybe he sees a path to coach here? I don't think he says anything if he's been formally contacted for an interview, however. With this org though, who the (frank) knows what bush league bullpoop they're running.

3. It leaves us with Tokarski, in which he will be used to expose to Seattle. I agree with Elliot that Ullmark is probably here next season. We'll need to pay close attention the the second guy they bring in. Is he over the hill? Is he a career backup? Is he a start sharer? Was he surpassed by a young guy? What Kevyn does at this position in the offseason will be very telling as to how they see Ullmark. But using Johansson as a trade chip is absolutely the smart play.

So how underwhelmed are we all going to be when they name Leaman as coach over the summer?
