I can't believe you aren't able to reschedule yet. Electives were reinstated weeks ago. God damn Cuomo.

The most common observations made from the perspective of those interviewed:

The Pegulas’ resources and attention are stretched too thin by businesses not related to the core mission of winning games.
There is a lack of faith in the shrunken executive leadership team: executive vice presidents Gregg Brandon (legal), Frank Cravotta (creative), Chuck LaMattina (finance), Mark Preisler (media and content) and Ron Raccuia (licensing and brand merchandise).
High job turnover is coupled with little explanation for it.
Family and close friends receive positions of growing influence or are allowed pet projects.
Employees conveyed support and sympathy for their coworkers along with resentment that upper management takes their efforts for granted.
“A lot of the things that were so amazing about it when I started,” said a former PSE employee, “began to evaporate as they continued to cut corners and cut expenses.

“I’m sure you’ve heard or will hear that the people who work there are awesome people, but the people high up in executive leadership now are snakes, to put it kindly.”

People confuse "nice" with "having a pleasant public demeanor" way too often.

The Sabres don't have scouts for the WHL, OHL, Finland and Russia.

We DO have the VideoScout7000, though.

And the NFL cap went down almost 16M. Crazy.

I missed last nights game but I logged onto to social media expecting to see a firestorm of anger since they blew a lead and lost and there wasn’t really one. That says so much by itself

NHL back on ESPN. I totally missed this story the other day. Huge news for the league. The OLN, VS., NBCSN nightmare is over.

It's not an exclusive rights deal. There's going to be another network in the picture, and it could be NBC. If not, it's probably going to be FOX.

Also, people talk about the NBC deal being bad. They got $200 million in revenue per year from it, which is far more than the league ever got in a TV deal and far more than ESPN ever offered. ESPN is probably offering less than NBC even now, but the NHL will come out ahead with the 2nd deal.

Next summer maybe.

The cap this summer will be based on revenues from this season.
