I was fine with the first bridge, but now Sam has the upper hand. Shouldn't have come to that.
- Lunaion

I was too, but in retrospect that was a bad decision. Botterill should have locked him up for 8 years at $5-6 per when he had the chance

No! Figure out one with a Tkachuk.

I still say jack to Ottawa for a Tkachuk

Another package to Calgary for other Tkachuk

Dueling Tkachuk!!!

- Gr8daygo

Matty T. for Sam + (Montour?)
-idk their “needs”

Brady T. for Quinn + (Olofsson?)
-they were reportedly considering taking Quinn in the draft

Ruzicka is lighting it TF up in the AHL this year.

This trade proposal would really make me think hard about it.

- Powerslave

Yeah, Anderson and Dahlin could be special together, Ruzicka is looking like he could be a stud. Pelletier is looking like he could be a nice top 6 LW, and Monahan is only 26, plus those picks could be flipped for more help.

Not at all, and I really like him...called all year for Sabres to draft him that year.
2C, and good at it, but lacks the "it" that Jack has.
So if you have one that has "it", don't get rid of him unless you have high probability it is coming back.

- IonSabres

I'm not going to pretend to know Ruzicka's ceiling, but he's really kicking ass this year.

Pelletier is a high skill, high compete, great skating player. Sounds like captain material. A rah-rah type player, very positive. We need more of that.

I know what you're saying, as far as the 1C, though.

I still think this trade proposal helps us in MANY ways.

It's a good sign for sure...yet, doesn't guarantee success in the NHL..case in poi t ou s how much better Tage performed in the A, vs his piss poor look in the N.

In any trade for Jack, I need a high probability for a future 1C coming back...else the team wanders for 10 years in search of one.

He is interesting though...does he make it at 1C?

Johansson sucks. Hutton sucks

Yet our gm says he’s on the phone daily and can’t find a goalie or anything.

What a joke

Not that I want Jack traded, but if this trade were announced tomorrow, I'd be fine with it. And a bit excited.

Context us important before you blame Botts.
Sam had 42 games of poop, followed by 42 games of top 6 material.
At the time, who was he?
No one knew and it was a guess either way.

Botts made a good decision.
Did Adams? No.

I'm with you, Boss. Hall is going to get cash on name recognition alone. I certainly would not pay him anywhere near $8m
- jcragcrumple

3 for 5 million , covid deal. Seems ridiculously low, but we can not moulson/ okposo / skinner this deal.

Bye bye like ion mentioned ....

Kinda goes to show you about name recognition. I was as excited as anyone when I heard we were signing Hall.

He's gonna cash in....

Like I said, I agreed with Botterill's decision at the time. In retrospect though, it was the wrong decision. He should have been locked up at a lower price point. Now this godforsaken brain trust has to make hard decisions

I don't think that necessarily makes it a bad decision, but you're supposed to make an actual decision after the bridge.

So Calgary is rumored to be getting cold on Tkachuk, as you all know.
They apparently want RW scoring, and we all feel Sam alone won't do it.

How about
Sam, Olo and Tage/Mitts for

Tkachuk and Ruzika/ Pellitier

Cash in in Hall whatever it is.

Let some other team make the mistake of signing him to a long term deal.

No need to have 25+ million tied up in
