That's the biggest difference from last year, for sure.

I just don't want to see this same core under yet another coach.

This is a very good post.

Seems like this team has more value in trades, than as a group.

Part it out like an old chevelle

Olofsson should not be in the top 6.

Eichel has clearly had different ailments bothering him all year.

Hall is the probably the most unluckiest player in the NHL this year in regards to goals below expected.

Cozens and Skinner should have never left the top 6.

Reinhart is having his best year yet.

- Pegullaville

If Eichel was injured from the start why was he playing. Could cost the season

If eichel was out from the start, we would be in the playoffs probably...........

We're only 14 points out of the playoffs and 2 points behind 30th place.

After 23 games...

I don't know, really feels like a buyers market at the deadline. $ and quarantine are going to complicate moves. I'd trade everyone I can on an expiring deal. Surprised that there seems to be a group here who want to keep the band together.

Eichel is clearly hurt and has gone from elite to maybe only an average player.

Eichel was playing because if he didn’t play .... being away from the game for virtually 2 years is not good on your body.

He also is trying to be a leader and play through pain.

If he wasn’t playing and he was hurt all year. You would give the same argument on how Eichel is weak and blah blah

This post makes zero sense.

Him not playing is a good chance sabres lose.

Playing though injuries is common

All I said was I would keep Eichel, Hall. Reinhart, Skinner (out of necessity), and Cozens.

Could purge the other 7 forwards for all I care.

Could purge every d-man other than Dahlin at this point too.

I’d probably try to bring back Ullmark but he’s a UFA at years end so we may need 2 brand new goalies too.

Hardly keeping the band together if I’m keeping 25% of the band.

If Eichel was right from the start, would be a different season.
But, after watching Olo flub every 5v5 chance he gets, he is probably deflated.
I know when I 0layed C in my beer league many years ago, if my wingers sucked, it took a bit of steam out of me.
He's probably laughing at Olo fvcking-up for 27 games at 5v5.

Probably because we are winning 3-2 currently.

I like risto- I'm ready to move him if it improves this team.

Sam has been playing good hockey - see ya
Hall - bye bye
Miller - adios
Montour - looks good with bryson. - trade him
Staal - take a 4th

Odd that anyone would really like this group? Although there's the - " it's all Kruegers fault" group .....

Hall is probably going to want 8m on a multi-term contract. If you can get a 1st for him take it and run. Hall is 29 and he probably is looking for 5 years unless we get lucky and he takes less money.

Wanting Krueger fired and wanting to improve the team are not mutually exclusive.

People have a hard time thinking about two things at once.

The way out...
-Define who the Sabres are as a team...high event offensively, quick transition game, attack as a 5 man unit with layers, pucks and players to the dirty area, defensively sound 5 man unit.
- Fire Ralphs's system...can he coach a high octane, attacking O, with a 5 man commitment to D...if not, replace him.
- hire and staff a Hockey Ops department that can properly identify successful attributes and evaluate existing players and upcoming prospects against those defined set of attributes that represent the desired style of play
- get ownership out of the way...hire a Marv, or Pollian, or Beane to be President

Eichel is probably more disappointed in olofsson and his 18 points over skinner and his 2 points.

Depends on how contract negotiations go with Sam and Hall.

I’d prefer to keep Sam as he is proven to be a pretty good top 6 RW but if he’s asking for the moon and the stars then you may have to look into trading him as he has 1 year left to UFA.

In regards to Hall I’d be looking to buy low on his low shooting percentage this year on a 4 year deal. If he’s looking for 6-7 years then yea I’d ship him out for futures but I’d try to retain him first depending on cost.

You saw the gift contract Adams gave to Girgensons right.
Be prepared for 6 x$8.75 with full NMC.

When it should be
3 x$4m period.

KA really trapped himself on a lot these deals.
