Ralph scratched Cozens for Okposo.

It doesn't matter how a player is playing.

- sabresfan69

Optics are bad but Cozens was always going to sit a game here and there. Zegras has sat too, fwiw.

Everything is fine...9-2-2.
Remember that gem some idiot was posting back last season.
21-29-6 + 6-14-3 for a stellar 27-43-3 since then.... .390 Pts%.

But we were told to stop whinning then and now.
Complacency is key I guess.

The way out
- Pegula's step down from Presidents role and hires an experienced Hockey mind with executive level experience.
- Hire an experienced team builder for a GM, Kevyn can learn from him as Asst GM
- Hire an experienced Coach who has a track record of success, especially with a young team
- Move out the dead weight, and poor leaders...rebuild on the fly.

In a season like this, it tests the leadership abilities and reveals true colors. It is safe to say the leadership on the roster is lacking. I would start there in the evaluation of who stays and who goes.

Soccer coach STILL employed.... WONDERFUL.

My only hope is that they didn't want to repeat the mistake of the Panthers when they fired Gallant and made him get his own taxi at the arena in Raleigh.

But that would require them to be self-aware and have an understanding of optics

This sounds like it could have negative implementations on the Pegula lifestyle.

I wouldn’t mind seeing him with Eichel. Would be huge if he turned into a 40pt player
- Fattony1187

It seems that playing with Jack is probably tougher than it looks. I think for a skilled player the change to never having the puck (because Jack has it) is a big adjustment.

So the other day in the Athletic article that had anonymous statements from past captains, one of the captains said that it was known throughout the league that Hall has lost a step. I paid attention to him specifically the last couple of games - it definitely seems to be true. He needs elite speed to be effective and he doesn't appear to have it. I loved the idea of him but we can't back up the truck for him. I'd give him 2 x 8 just to see if he turns it around but I'd be fine if we moved him.

I dont care if they keep Hall, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's moved to a good team with a good system and suddenly, magically his step is back

There is no evaluation. Its a con job.

Adams, eats, sleeps and breaths sabres you think he needs time to evaluate. Its a con to buy time and keep the fans and media sedated.

You need to move him and the deadline and then flip the assets for a young player either now or in the offseason. We could get a 1st for him.

No more signing players that are 30 years old and slowing down. Need to use picks to bring in young talent or Eichel is completely wasted.

I can't imagine us getting that for him, especially if he has say over where he is going. Also, the pool of teams that could get him is somewhat limited due to quarantine.
