What does Hutton and Ullmark costing us a playoff spot LAST season have anything to do with this season ?

I think even Hellen Keller can see this team is giving the 2014-2015 Sabres a run for its money in goal scoring ineptitude.

But since we are on the topic neither Hutton or Johansson can stop a beach ball and the goaltending still sucks.

Ullmark made strides this year though and can be counted on in a goaltending duo next year which is the silver lining

Do you really think this system is limiting good scoring chances this year and last year. Something isn’t right. My opinion is based on good scoring chances and who has that chance. This team leaves the goalie out to dry and it doesn’t matter which one. Ullmarks play was unreal and probably not sustainable. The chances we have from HD areas are flubbed or mishandled and pressured from their team. The chances we give up are A+++.
You and others can blame goaltending for whatever you want. Last year, this year, next year, it’s your right to say that if you want. What I see is a system that is flawed to the max with this group, softest team I’ve seen in years and a whole lot of overpaid non scoring so called stars. I hope they do get a new superstar goalie just to see how that transpires into some guys getting some heart and balls to do something.

The team was really good at limiting high danger scoring chances last year. On a majority of the nights we out chanced teams in general for the most part.

We defended very well as a team, and although in a perfect world it would have been nice to score more goals, we did score enough and defended well enough for our goalies to not give up as many goals as they did.

This year is a completely different story. For the first 7 or so games we were very good analytically from a shot suppressing stand point we just didn’t have any luck. Since the COVID and Skinner situations this team has been a dumpster fire defensively, offensively, you name it.

It must be fun to play against us. Other teams probably think "Awesome ! We play Buffalo the next couple of games - automatic win !". Then they go out and soundly thrash us. Must be easy...and fun. Must be nice.

wtf is going on at bay hill? I'm away from my tv. only 3 guys under par for the day with the leaders teeing off.

Not many Sabres fans around these parts and as bad as we’ve been over the past 10 years I usually fly under the radar as everyone rarely sees this team play. I’m fielding many text today though about how bad we are. Hockey day in America is such a great day!
